The portions are very decent and the food is fresh and tasty.
Service was prompt and pleasant.
If you’re looking to run away from the noise and have a quiet time with your family and friends, this is your place.
Food was delivered hot and timely. Warm tolls were offered and these were very good. Sadly the result of the meal was only OK.- perhaps I just have high standards. I am from an Italian family. The food would most likely be considered good by most people. Here are y thoughts.
I ordered caesar salad and stuffed eggplant. Husband had his staple, spaghetti bolognaise.
The Caesar came out first and quickly. It was a good size and made with the requisite romaine lettuce. However, there were no anchovies, the croutons were both home made and stale, the dressing, which swamped the salad, was either commercially made/bought in and/or of a poor quality/recipe. The lettuces were drenched and some wilted as of this salad had been prepared 12-24 hours before. And paramount sin, the ‘Parmesan’’ cheese used was NOT fresh Parmesan shavings but some commercially prepared processed grated cheese. Pretty flavourless.
Husband spaghetti with the ‘signature house marinara’ was not h better. The pasta was appropriately cooked to slightly ‘al dente’ but the sauce tasted like it had been emptied out of a tin and heated through with a few fresh basil leaves sprinkled on top. E are still looking for the meat which would have qualified it as ‘bolognaise’
My stuffed eggplant was a big disappointment and gave me indigestion all night long. It came as two slabs of breaded fried eggplant with ricotta cheese layered in between, covered in sauce and with mozzarella melted on top. Somehow the chef managed to burn the breaded exterior yet leave the eggplant itself under cooked. The sauce was poor and the garlic was not appropriately incorporated into it. It came with some penne pasta which was ok.
This restaurant was recommend to us a good food served family/casual style.
My advice to the chef, up your game, and pay more attention, use quality ingredients. $ 78. For two beers, & two dishes, no coffee, no starters, no desserts should mean that you are well priced to do this.
My take away to myself – ‘next time you walk into a restaurant and there is ‘ sprinkley cheese’ on the table, LEAVE.’ Just walk away.
A calm place, no kids screaming or running around.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. Waiter was attentive and super nice. We would DEFINITELY coming back. A LOT BETTER than Olive Garden.
