Fabulous soul food. Thriving takeout business, and clean dine in space. Catfish tastes like it’s just off the boat, none of the usual sliminess of storage. And batters are mouthwatering. Warm staff. Can’t wait to go back.

My first experience was at a grand opening event, and the food was good. My next few orders were from the restaurant and the platters did not disappoint. Seasoned just enough, never overcooked and the proportions were enough for leftovers. My favorites are the macaroni and cheese, fried wings, fried whiting, collard greens, yellow rice, cornbread, deviled eggs and shrimp tacos.

We recently ordered in from Taste This through DoorDash after craving some delicious soul food, and it did not disappoint. We chose the salmon over rice, which came with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The order arrived within the expected delivery window and was packaged securely, looking as if it came straight from the restaurant’s kitchen.
The serving sizes were generous, and each dish was flavorful, well-seasoned, and truly satisfying. We would definitely order from here again—there are so many yummy options to try!

Great food deserves a great review. I took a break from eating my platter just to type this. I got the spice chicken with greens and Mac n cheese… absolutely amazing, taste like food out of my grandmother’s kitchen. I am beyond satisfied

I’ve lost my appetite due to depression and haven’t been able to finish my food. Everything seemed meh but, I dinted to try out this restaurant for the first time. I had ordered the salon dish with the side or Mac and cheese and mash potatoes on DoorDash and was impressed by the presentation. It looked and smelled delicious. It is the best food I tasted in a while. I’m excited to recommend this place to with my partner. The salmon is I loved that it was gilled to perfection. It’s soft and buttery and the topped a creamy sauce and bell peppers added on to the flavor

My husband and I were both pleased with our meals. I ordered smothered turkey wings (served with yellow rice), macaroni and cheese, and yams. He ordered Taste Seasoned Chicken (also served with yellow rice), macaroni and cheese and collard greens. The portions were large and the food was well seasoned and prepared. Meals were 10 out of 10.

The food is not worth 30 dollars. The atmosphere has declined as far as decor and overall cleanliness. The food is average at best, (who serve fried fish over rice pilaf?) and they had the nerves to charge 6 dollars for a large half and half that’s not made of fresh squeezed lemons or fresh brewed tea. Heavily disappointed in this experience. Never again!

$20 later and really nothing much to rave about. Had the Ribs, Mac and mash potato. Ribs are hard to figure out because of the fat ratio, but you have give the customer something to enjoy. Mostly fat and smothered in BBQ sauce. Mash NOT smooth at all a bit gritty. And Mac well really nothing to say. Rice didn’t even try it.

I order two stuffed salmon platters with collards greens and a side of Mac and cheese , when I got the food the greens are very bland not flavorful and the sweet potatoes were hard I feel like they should give all they chefs and or cooks some kind of training because it’s sucks having food good one time and not the next especially for the price you are paying.

The front desk was friendly but the waiting time was extremely long. As a foreigner to taste the soul food I think they are trying their best to make delicious food. However this is not my preferred style but I still appreciate for your efforts. To be honest the sweet potato is so sweet that I cannot have one bite and also the chicken I ordered should be spicy but it is actually plain…..
