AMAZING PLACE!!! Awesome place with AWESOME burgers—and fast service! I like my burger “medium” and for some reason, there aren’t many place’s that can cook a burger that is juicy, flavorful, and medium, but Bummie’s does!! Huge amount of hand-cut fries (and NOT cooked to death), and all the toppings you want. They have daily specials, great staff, and tons of other great food choices. Was pretty busy around lunch, but worth it. Definitely coming back!!!

This is the best restaurant in Newark, or anywhere for that matter. First of all, the onion rings are the best in the entire world bar none. They’re battered not breaded which means that’s a plus right off the bat, they’re thick and incredibly flavorful and crispy. Absolutely the best and I am an onion ring expert! If you look at the picture attached, there’s five onion rings left, my wife and I each had two and were afraid we wouldn’t be able to eat our food if we had another one. That’s how big and freaking awesome they were. There’s five left so we got nine of those things for nine dollars in a basket. You can’t beat that deal.Burger was juicy and delicious topped with incredibly fresh toppings. pickles that were fresh and about a quarter inch thick and crispy tomato slices that were fresh not soggy, equally thick. Just gorgeous. My wife got the cauliflower crust pepperoni pizza and said it was the best cauliflower crust pizza she’s ever tried and maybe one of her favorite pizzas of all time. That is saying something I tried it and yes, she’s correct. The service was extremely friendly and family style attentive, but not overbearing, perfect absolute perfect. The price is extremely right. I ate my entire burger, We both had two onion rings and she has enough pizza left over for another meal and we have five onion rings left over. All that food was $38. Can’t touch this.

You will definitely not leave hungry! Everything is delicious and the onion rings are the best we’ve ever had. Only reason we gave it 4 instead of five is although we like some craft beer, we would have liked to have a standard domestic choice on draft. Otherwise, excellent service, food, and atmosphere.

This place is always busy, and no wonder…it is FANTASTIC! Everything. The food is unreal, the fresh cut fries are perfectly browned, and the onion rings are THEE best onion rings ever! The sandwiches and burgers, pizza, all fresh, great quality, and perfectly prepared. So, so good! Service is always great, always friendly and accommodating. Parking is an issue because it’s always busy, and the parking lot is kind of tight, but it’s worth waiting and circling around or finding a place nearby to walk over. I’m not a drinker, so I can’t really speak for the bar but my brothers are both beer connoisseurs and love the selection. Bummies is top notch!

No place in Newark is better for a burger and beer. They have relocated after a fire over a year ago and less of a dive unfortunately. I lived their old place.
The new place outside of downtown took over a previous thriving pizza joint. Parking can be tight! The lot was clear of debris.
I sat at the bar with a friend and service was immediate and extremely friendly. The business was extremely busy around noon on a weekday. They list their craft beer on a menu board and rotate around eight. The front area has bar and booth seating. An area in the back and side tables. Everything was clean.
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with side of onion rings. Also a craft brew. Most people around me had burgers. My friend ordered a Ruben. Our waiter said the owner was there when mentioning the old place.
Food hit the counter in around 20 minutes. Everything looked and smelled amazing! My burger was juicy and packed with flavor. My onion rings plentiful and a delight. The beer was a perfect accompaniment. My friend said his Ruben rocked! Our waitress checked in on us.
We closed out the bar and for the amount of food and quality we both felt the price was fair. 4.5 rounding up.

We as a family loved this place, the food is AMAZING!!!! until being racially profiled at lunch with my daughter. My (black) daughter was never offered crayons or coloring page but the white family that walked in after us was given crayons. & then the bartender was talking actual shit about me for asking for a to go cup. I’ve never been more embarrassed or felt more uncomfortable in my life. I still Tipped 22 percent. Just will never show my face there again.

Service was awesome and for Bar food it was pretty good! Had a few TVs for watching sports. Kitchen closed at 9 on a Saturday which we just made it. Was really wanting some wings but they had sold all their flats which is why the 4 rating. Philly was good could have used a little more flavor maybe because we were last ones. Fries were good and they had Malt Vinegar on the table.

We stopped in and finally got a parking spot!! They have a good amount of parking just always busy! We grabbed dinner and a beer. We both got mushroom burgers. We loved that you can literally build your own which makes it delicious because you get just what you want. I went with fries, my husband got onion rings. The helpings are huge! We also got pretzels and both loved the dips that came with them. They have lots of bar seating and a good amount of tables. It’s a fun atmosphere and I love that they partner with a local brewery and offer Trek Brewing Solo Hike! I loved their other location before the fire so it’s great to see them in a new location and doing so well. Give Bummies a try! It’s definitely worth stopping in. We will be back to try more stuff on the menu. They have a kids menu as well as lots of options for adults!
