Just Go if you love ice cream ! This is one of the best ice creams I’ve ever eaten. I was enjoying my pistachio cake cone ice cream so much I forgot to take a picture of it ! It was smooth.

Found a few years ago. Allergy knowledgeable. Experience wasn’t as good this time. Took 3 tries before getting our ice cream. 1st time closed unexpectedly, 2nd time extremely long unmoving line. Not sure if it was customer or new /understaffed. 3rd time successful for the homemade ice cream, soft serve and shakes unavailable. Did have help wanted sign and mention of possibly mid management changes. Quality and dietary restrictions still good

This place has good creamy ice cream with multiple flavors to choose from. The price is a little high, costing between $6-$12 depending on what you order. The service is less friendly and more business focused. Overall, its an ice cream place you can enjoy with no frills.

Been going here for 20 years. Excellent homemade ice-cream! Portions are large. Just note Google shows they open at 12 noon, but it is actually 1pm. Kinda screwed up our day on this particular visit, but not going to take stars away. Its good ice-cream!

2022 June 30, a manager at another restaurant recommended this ice cream parlor since it was mom pop and not a chain, so me, my brothers and our families tried it. Some of my family did not like it, my brother said that the person at the window was rude to him since my brother asked for peanuts and banana, he said he did not want or have any banana and the peanuts would be an additional cost, my brother also said he would not come here again, my sister in law did not like her ice cream, her daughter threw her ice cream in the trash almost immediately after tasting it and another niece did not like her ice cream too. For that reason, I have to change my review to 1 star.

We stopped in to get my grandson an ice cream after daycare and they have homemade Banana Pudding ice cream and my grandson LOVED it! We got the bowl and a cone and scooped a little bit in the cone at a time so he could feed himself.

My wife and I have been craving a Banana Split for years. We read about this Ice Cream shop with home made ice cream, and decided to give them a try. While waiting on our Banana Split, I looked at their Celebrity Wall full of many celebrities that apparently, like to visit this place when they are in town. The gentelman announced our order was ready, and my wife and I shared the dessert. The banana’s were fresh, and each flavor of ice cream was scrumptious. My favorite was the chocoloate with the Chocolate syrup on top. When we come back to visit North Myrtle Beach, this will be a ‘must go’ guilty pleasure for us. I highly recommend.

This ice cream is spectacular! As of 8/26/26 they had sugar free butter pecan hard ice cream. The staff was knowledgeable too. They were able to tell me the sweetener that was used in it. That was extremely important due to food sensitivities. They are also very friendly!

Painter’s Ice Cream is celebrating 72 years in business this year! I’ve been eating ice cream from this place since I was 8 years old, I’m 68 years old now!
By far without question this is the best ice cream in the land! My favorite is Maple Nut and I get it EVERY time I’m there!!! Yum!!!
My wife and I were down in Cherry Grove Beach this past weekend celebrating my sister’s birthday. We took her out to supper one night and HAD to stop by Painter’s for dessert!!! Once again this place did not disappoint!
If you love ice cream and if you’re anywhere in or near the Myrtle Beach, SC area and you don’t stop at this place for a cup or cone of ice cream – shame on you!!!
