We love to come here. The food is always expertly prepared and delicious. Great cocktails. I had the Sazarac. The Oysters Rockafeller is so good. A fried oyster on top of each broiled oyster. We usually get the redfish Ponchatrain, but tonight we had the special. Blackened flounder with a lemon caper dill cream sauce topped with shrimp. Stewed cabbage and mashed potatoes. Hot bread and seasoned butter. The Tabasco cheesecake is really good for dessert. Prompt and friendly service. Prices are reasonable for the quality. When I step inside I feel like I’m transported to New Orleans!

Holy moly! The chefs here are amazing. The way they blend all their spicies with every dish makes them a master of the kitchen. The catfish gumbo with shrimp and crawfish was outstanding paired with red beans and rice ..soooooo good! Do not pass on the homemade desserts. The bread pudding and the Tabasco cheesecake were delicious. A true hidden gem!

The French Quarter Grille presents a mixed dining experience, excelling in atmosphere and service while falling short in delivering authentic Cajun cuisine. The restaurant boasts a wonderfully romantic ambiance, enhanced by the convenience of easy table reservations and minimal wait times. These elements create a promising first impression, setting the stage for what seems like a delightful evening.

One of the highlights of the French Quarter Grille is undoubtedly its incredible service. The staff are attentive and accommodating, ensuring that diners feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout their meal. Complementing this exceptional service is the restaurant’s romantic ambiance, making it an ideal spot for special occasions or intimate dinners. The combination of these factors contributes to a positive and enjoyable dining environment, setting a high bar for the overall experience.

Despite the pleasant setting and attentive service, the food at French Quarter Grille did not meet my expectations. While I had hoped for an authentic taste of Creole cuisine, the dishes sampled failed to deliver the rich and distinctive flavors characteristic of the region. It’s possible that I could try another entree, but the experience left a desire for more genuine Creole flavors.

In conclusion, the French Quarter Grille offers a delightful atmosphere and exceptional service, making it a strong contender for a memorable night out. However, those seeking an authentic Cajun culinary experience may find the food lacking. While the ambiance and service are definite draws, potential diners should consider their priorities when choosing this restaurant.

Celebrated a friend’s birthday here and wow … what an incredible meal! The stuffed catfish entree had an amazing creole sauce that was spicy but not too much. The fish was moist and delicious as were the green beans and dirty rice. For dessert, the key lime pie was … no kidding … the best I’ve had in my life!

Great atmosphere and service. This place is just five stars all the way. Can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

Consistently delicious food, tasty drinks, exceptional service and low key, NOLA ambiance. We started with calamari and salad with basil vinaigrette (amazing!!) our entrees were grilled steak topped with 3 oysters and flounder. Perfect date night!! If you’ve never been, I’d definitely recommend it. Many thanks to the staff for their dedication to excellence!!

such a cute spot! They’ve done a beautiful job renovating after the fire, and the space feels warm, welcoming, and full of character.

Jaime was incredibly kind and accommodating, which made the experience even better. And although I’ve never visited New Orleans (yet ), this definitely felt like the perfect little substitution. great flavor, great atmosphere, and great hospitality.

If you’re craving a touch of NOLA vibes right here in Austin, this spot is absolutely worth the visit.

This place will not disappoint! I love, love, love this spot! It is always a vibe! From the staff; Jamie(Miss Belize), to Jerry and the Bartender, they are always pleasant and welcoming! The gumbo was out of this world last Thursday night! We celebrated my husband’s birthday like we do every year here and they never disappoint on showing love to returning customers! This place is also kid friendly and my daughter loves the kids menu choices! A must try!

Quiet place, good service, and very good food. Atmosphere was very nice and allowed for conversation. Booth could use a little attention-torn seat. Nice little neighborhood restaurant.

In Austin and have a take for the Big Easy. This is the place. French Quarter Grille has many options. Great portions and seasoned to perfection. When I’m visiting Austin I’ll always go here first.

Highly highly recommend
Today was my first experience with this restaurant. Was greeted at the door and seated quickly. The waiter who has served there for over 14 years help guide me thru the menu.
I ordered the special of the day which was a blackened chicken over crayfish tails.
He wisely suggested the dirty rice and right he was.
The space was too good to leave there on the plate so the rice helped soak up all the rest leaving no reason to lick the plate, which I wanted to.
The owner, a well dressed flamboyant gentleman checked on us before we left and made sure we were satisfied.
Can’t wait to return to try out the rest of the menu. 5 stars !!
