Reviews
Lunch $32.99 / adult weekday
Lunch $17.99 / child weekday
In retrospect price for quality after reviewing, as well as considering what menu offering we had, we would get better quality for this price elsewhere, and not be capped, especially for lunch prices at this $$$$ point.
We suspect that we were likely charged a dinner price and given only a lunch menu . CLEARLY DISPLAYING A PRICING LIST FOR TRANSPARENCY to correct this disparity will provide consumer clarity.

Shinjuku Station is part of the growing trend of conveyor belt sushi offerings that is set in AYCE environment, it however also allows for inclusion of some hot foods such as but not limited to gyoza, ramen, hibachi , teriyaki dishes. It’s an alluring environment touting a feel like entering the “Jetson’s” where either a Robot or specialty train can bring ordered specific dishes to your table. While a conveyor belt brings about items that can be picked about by general diners.
Our experience there was a mix of initial overwhelming by the environment, to the “hhhmmmm I wonder if”… “why can’t i have that…”, or “I should instead have done this instead…”.
For our first experience there, it’s easy to be overcome by the flashiness of the atmosphere, as the delivery system for the food is like the carrot in front of the cart that entices the experience. The environment of food delivery to your table ( by train/robot/conveyor belt) really set the tone for the experience. The quality of the food is about average, it’s not an omkase and your not getting that degree of quality of food.
Pros: flashy table food delivery to table side, clean, presentable,
Cons: Pricing is not easily posted / viewable for the experience and there is no signage for the cost per diner or by age of diner, and time frame of dining. These are told to you by your hostess (which means the information goes in one ear and out the other so you never really hear it and you end up paying what they want to charge you). Diner’s are limited by time frame of order, so you feel like you are constantly needing or order via the iPad, in order to get food on your table. (if your not tech savvy, this could easily become an problem for you), This is also a way for them to “cap” your ordering food . It’s also hard to tell what food you’ve gotten and food that’s ordered to be or is cooking, in relation if there is food that’s still to come; so you have to try and track what you order / have eaten, and are waiting on food. The food on the Conveyor belt was rather limited in terms of offerings. It seemed that most people ordered per request as the conveyor belt had the same sad orange , desert, salad, pass by. Compounded with the fact that if you happen to be seated an an area that’s really down stream from where the food enters the conveyor belt, you might not ever get to select anything off the belt as most of the items would be pulled off before they get to you, and then they would be old or wanted by that stage. There seems to be a different menu offering for higher quality set at certain time frames.
The Lunch trip we had, seemed to be limited by offering, however for the dinner menu, it seems to give a few more items to select from. We had noticed one diner who requested the dinner offering during the lunch hour and we’re like “Why can’t we find that on our menu”. The selections seem limited in terms of certain nigiri or fried fish collar (hamachi) unless you knew to get the higher level menu. BUT at $$$$ 32.99 / Adult Lunch, it is something I’d expect for more than just tuna and salmon Nigiri, and mostly tiny rolls.
Prepared foods like ramen, hibachi, hot foods, teriyaki, seemed to be also available only via ordering. Tipping automatically applied for parties more than 5 for 20%

Should we go back in the future, we might go with a different strategy towards the AYCE. They’re very time sensitive as to what and how frequently you can order, and apart from water, they charge for beverage and desserts. Fountain beverages are bottomless.
On the conveyor belt, it’s majority desert or rolls of sushi that has been going around since the beginning of our seating(Not so much conveyor belt but ordering on the tablet). Plus the food was okay not really worth the price but the ambiance was prob the best part you would get there.
Unfortunately, I do not recommend.
However, this time when I bit into my roll, I found a produce sticker from an avocado (or something similar) inside. The manager apologized and offered a 50% discount.
When we were leaving, we realized the discount was actually only 15%, which is quite disappointing. Not only does the food preparation seem poorly monitored, but customers also don’t seem to be valued here.
I would not recommend this place.
