Modest eatery offering traditional Indian & Indo-Chinese dishes, including vegetarian & vegan items.
Been’ there
I was skeptical of the location. The cook is really good here. From many Indian restaurants I have been over time, the naan bread was really good, fresh and tasted great. The butter chicken was a safe option but it was creamy and buttery like it should be, so they nailed it. The taste was ready good with fresh raita and mint chutney made matters even better. The taste was worth it!!!

Formerly Bay Leaf Indian – The food was great. Got the butter chicken, chicken 65, saag paneer, and garlic naan. Food was all delicious, especially the butter chicken but that’s a given. The chicken 65 is citrusy and perfectly spicy. Spoke to the owner Laxmi, really nice lady. She mentioned they used to be in Plymouth but relocated to Eden Prairie. Overall a good experience, will definitely go back.

The food here was fantastic and absolutely the highlight of our visit. We had the chicken tikka masala, spicy chicken curry, butter naan, and the chicken majestic appetizer — everything was flavorful, fresh, and really well done.
Service was a bit slow. There was only one server for the whole restaurant, and we ended up waiting quite a while even though we were the only ones there at first.
Overall, the quality of the food made it a great experience, and we’d definitely come back — we just wish the service had been a little more timely.

I had such a good experience here. The food honestly felt like something made with care — fresh, full of flavor, and really comforting. The Chicken 65 Biryani especially stood out… it was so tasty and perfectly spiced that it became the highlight of the whole meal. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, the kind of place where you actually enjoy sitting and talking while you eat. And the service was genuinely impressive — the staff were kind, attentive, and made us feel welcomed without ever rushing us. Overall, it just felt like a really pleasant, satisfying dining experience. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Delicious! Lunch special is what we had, which is 1 meat and 1 veggies entree with rice and naan ($10.99 each). The flavor and temperature were great. Loved chatting with the owner.
Will absolutely be back again!

My Indian friend took me here for the first time. I don’t know why more people don’t talk about this place. I lived in Houston, where the best Indian food is and this place is comparable. The food is AMAZING. Quality is SO consistent, the depth of flavor, everything, wow.
My favs: butter chicken, hyderabad lamb, and saag paneer. I dont go out to eat much up here and think most places in MN arent even worth your money but this place is worth EVERY PENNY. 10000/10 my go-to Indian spot.

Just visited today and had a great Biryani and Naan along with a really nice Butter Chicken. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. And the lassi made with the king of fruits — Mango — was absolutely amazing. It was rich, refreshing, and the perfect finish to the meal. Definitely a full 10/10 for the lassi!

Kadai Indian Kitchen serves truly authentic Indian food with incredible taste and freshness. Every dish is packed with rich flavor and cooked to perfection — their Goat Biryani is the absolute star, bursting with aroma and tender meat. All other items, from the flavorful curries and crispy appetizers to the soft naan and perfectly balanced desserts, are equally delicious and satisfying. Their catering service is top-notch, with beautifully presented food, timely delivery, and a professional, friendly team that made the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend them for both dining in and catering events!

I can’t really say anything about the ambiance since it was late on a Sunday and we were the only ones there. However, I can definitely.speak about the food.
The chicken appetizer looks amazing but, but the chicken was very tough and dry would not recommend. The flavor was rich and pleasant, if the chicken was better it would be amazing.
The player was very well served and very tasty no complaints at all on that and would definitely recommend it. My friend got the chicken Tika Masala and it had a taste of cury that was great, definitely recommend that as well either their perfectly cooked rice.
The people are nice and serviceable. I would recommend it for a good mom and pop taste of India.

I really enjoy dining at Kadai Indian Kitchen! Their Chicken 65 is flavorful and perfectly spiced, while the Butter Chicken is creamy, rich, and full of authentic flavors. The Bullet Naan (chilli) is soft with just the right kick, making it the perfect bread to enjoy with any curry. I also loved the Mysore Masala Dosa, which was crisp, tasty, and satisfying. The dishes taste fresh and authentic, and you can tell they put care into the recipes. Definitely one of my favorite spots for delicious Indian food!
