We stayed at a chateaux near the restaurant, and were recommended by the staffs at the hotel. It was a very pleasant dinner. The main dishes were exceptionally good, and the Charcuterie was excellent.
I have to admit, that the Crème brûlée was phenomenal. It was the best one ever in my entire life. The caramel was so thin but crispy, and it was exceptionally well balanced.
I came back to Korea, and ordered it at a quite high-end hotel restaurant, but dissatisfied. Make sure you order one for yourself.

We came back here again on 30 June for dinner. This time we were seated indoor. The environment was very good, food excellent and staff very friendly and professional. I and my family loved all the dishes. Will definitely come again when we visit Bordeaux in the near future.

We took lunch in this restaurant on 28 June. We ordered, among other dishes, seafood platter, fresh oysters, octopus, beef cheek and pork tenderloin. The seafood and beef were good, but the pork tenderloin was a bit overcooked. Since we were seated in an outdoor environment, the dishes attracted flies. Though the staff later on lighted some candles for us with a view to drive the flies away, the experience tarnished the overall experience of us. I seldom wrote restaurant reviews, but would like to raise the last point so that Lavinal management would look into the situation for improvement.

We had a lovely dining experience! A great selection of local wines from various regions. We enjoyed the cote de boeuf for 2 (it’s more likely to feed 3 or 4 people). The staff were great throughout the meal.

The food was just average—nothing stood out or left a lasting impression. That said, the pricing for both food and wine was very reasonable, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and inviting.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Upon arrival, I was nearly turned away with the claim that the restaurant was full. It took speaking with the manager to be seated. Yet, throughout my entire visit, the restaurant remained at least 75% empty, which made the initial interaction feel unnecessary and unwelcoming.

We had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant for both lunch and dinner, and each visit offered something special. Set in the charming village of Bages in Pauillac, the location alone feels like a hidden gem. Dining outdoors is a true delight—surrounded by the quiet beauty of the village, with its cobblestone paths and gentle pace, it’s an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and savor every moment.

Inside, the restaurant transforms into a classic French bistro—warm, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant. The balance between casual comfort and refined charm is perfectly struck.

The food was excellent from start to finish. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor, but the Médoc oysters were a standout—without a doubt, the best we’ve ever had. Fresh, clean, and perfectly chilled, they set a high bar.

Wine service was equally impressive. The recommendations were thoughtful, well-matched to our meals, and presented without any sense of upselling—just genuine knowledge and a passion for good wine.

Whether enjoying a sunny lunch on the terrace or a cozy dinner indoors, this restaurant offers a complete experience—exceptional food and wine in a setting that feels both intimate and special. We’ll absolutely be back.

AMAZING service – especially Thomas – very observant and still leaving enough private space for us to enjoy ourselves. The wines are – as expected due to the location – are exceptional! If you haven’t done so, try the Bordeaux Blanc from Lynch Bages – blows any Sancerre or Chablis away!

The food was very good. They had a good variety of options for the daily menu. Very good prices. I had a carrot soup that was wonderful, the duck was good as well. Their bread and basil butter was fantastic. I do have to say that the Rum baba was not edible. It was as if they just poured a cup of pure rum over the cake. Not sure what happened there. Very good overall.

We dined here for lunch during a wine tasting trip through Medoc. We were very impressed with the food and the service. The tartare was, unfortunately, just okay, but the duck was superb. The sommelier was knowledgeable and steered us to a wonderful bottle of Chateau Moulin Riche (I think technically we were in Pauillac, but were doing all our tastings St. Julien, so we stayed with St. Julien wine!)

Merci for a delightful lunch!
