El Mitote was such a great find! The food was flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. What made the experience even better was the exceptional customer service. They made sure we felt welcomed, checked on us often, and kept everything flowing smoothly. It’s a must-visit whether you’re going for Taco Tuesday or just craving amazing Spanish cuisine.

El Mitote is a casual but delicious Mexican restaurant located on the UWS. Every time I go, it never fails to disappoint. Don’t let the margs fool you, one will usually suffice. Personally, I prefer the frozen as they have the perfect consistency. I ordered the frozen coconut (which is out of this world) and my friend got the frozen blood orange marg which was also incredible. My one little critique is that what is labeled on the menu as a “quesadilla” is indeed NOT at all a quesadilla. It’s literally a soft taco with little to no cheese, but I will give them this- they are delicious. The chorizo is a big hit here and is full of flavor, but please just add more cheese!!! That’s the entire point of a (quesa)dilla, LOL. The service is great here and the atmosphere is relaxed, but it’s also very fun with the festive decor and upbeat tunes in the background.

Tasty Mexican restaurant on the upper west side. Conveniently located by Lincoln Center, so I went here before going to the New York City ballet. Nice selection of drinks and food. A great option for vegetarians if dining with meat eaters. We had to sit outside which was a little hard in the cold October time, but there were space heaters so it was warm enough. I’d come back!

El Mitote is in a great spot for after-work happy hours. It’s a smaller, quaint location, but it’s filled with so much ambiente and lively energy. The drinks are solid, and the food is absolutely amazing… definitely the kind that makes you want to come back. The décor gives major Día de los Muertos vibes, colorful and full of personality. I didn’t check out the bathrooms, but given how clean and well-kept the restaurant itself is, I’m sure they match that same standard. Overall, definitely a repeat visit in my book!

El Mitote serves up classic American-style Mexican food in generous portions. The shrimp burrito was fresh, flavorful, and loaded with ingredients, though a bit pricey at $23. The main letdown was the lack of chips with the meal

Fun atmosphere (even in the rain). I had the mushroom tinga tacos, which were pretty good. The chips and salsa was delicious, but we assumed it was standard ‘free chips and salsa’ and it turned out to be $9 for a little basket of chips and some (albeit extremely delicious) salsa. Not that big of a deal but when the waiter offered I wish they’d mentioned they were nine bucks.

Had to wait long time because it was full. But when we sat down the service and the food was excellent. Very fast. Delicious.

Went here for dinner before a movie at amc Lincoln square, we sat in their outdoor area.
Started with a couple margaritas and chips with guacamole, really good guacamole.

We had the chiles toreados as an appetizer and it was delicious. It was caramelized jalapenos and onions with cubes of fresco cheese and tortillas. Not too spicy but a nice richness to it, like soy sauce maybe.

I had the flautas and my wife had the tinga quesadillas. All so good! We also shared some Mexican rice. Would definitely come back
