Do yourself a favor and hit up The Montford Rooftop Bar! It’s on the 8th floor of the Doubletree Hilton in Asheville, NC, and you just hop on the elevator right outside the hotel’s main entrance. The weather was kinda meh during our visit, but the atmosphere was still awesome. It wasn’t crowded when we went, bc of the weather, but I’d prob make a reservation on a nice day. The staff was super nice, El at the front desk was a gem, and our waiter Ambrose made the night even better with his great service. They’ve got many food options on their seasonal menu, and a variety of drink options. The food was very good, we got the truffle fries, short rib mac and cheese, and a peach ham pistachio flatbread! Also, for it being small plates the portion sizes were great! Can’t wait to go back when the weather’s nicer, but honestly, it’s the Smoky Mountains, so you know how it goes. Completely worth checking out!

Cutest little bar ever! While they may not have the best views that Asheville has to offer they make up for it in decorations and ambience. The cocktails were superb in the specialty Christmas cocktail list was super fun! I highly recommend Santa’s Italian Affair for a cocktail and the pretzel baguette to go with it!

The experience of being at The Montford was wonderful. The views are great. We sat at the bar. Our bartender Nils, was awesome. He guided us to good selections of beer. He also highly recommended their salad. It was as good as he’ said it would be. The dressing was very light!

Love love love love love!!!! We had dinner here and of course we waited til last minute but our waitress was super sweet and gave us the heads up about the kitchen closing. The views were breath taking, and the drinks were amazing! Will definitely try brunch at this phenomenal place next time we’re in town.

My friend and I came for an appetizer and drinks to celebrate his birthday and check out the rooftop view. We have a lovely time! The drinks were healthy pours and kept us as warm as the flaming heaters strategically spaced. The ham and prosciutto flatbread was superb, had tons of flavor and was perfect for sharing. Get up here and save the scenes!

We had a large group so we had reservations prior to arrival, while planning my trip Montford was the only place that picked up every time I called. Reserving, changing days, and the headcount never felt like an inconvenience working with them. The drinks were so fun and the food was good! I just wish we had the chance to see the views, but we made reservations too late in the evening- so I will definitely return our next time visiting!

Fried green tomatoes! yum!! Our server Candy was cheerful and super helpful. All the staff was relaxed and happy for us to enjoy the amazing view. Although it would be perfect if the plastic windows were more clear.

The Montford has a nice vibe and delivers an authentic chill bar feel. They make great craft cocktails. Stopped in just before closing time for a wind down beverage with friends before heading to the hotel room. Definitely a worthy spot if you on thus side of Asheville or staying at the Doubletree.

Loved the vibe of this spot, but some of the food was quite salty (The Crab Fritter and the Tots). The views are spectacular and the staff was very friendly! My spouse has the Peach and Country Ham Flatbread and mentioned it was balanced and a good meal.
