I would not recommend reservations over 4 people, or at least plan a buffer of 30-45 minutes from your reservation time, since they don’t have a lot of big tables, and no time limits on their tables, so you’re at the mercy of when the other guests want to leave. The staff will make the wait worth while and will attend to your every need. The food and ambience is more of an old school Supper Club vibe. The menu has plenty of options to please everyone at the table. Bread came out to the table to appease the munchies. I had the French Onion Soup which is one of the better ones I’ve tasted. Up next, the Nova Scotia Twin Lobster tails, with mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon. Follow me for more reviews and let me know what I should try next.

Very attentive wait staff! Delicious food and great service. One of the best steaks that I’ve had in the cities. Their drink menu offers many options to pair with your meal. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Very nice location. The service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing yet high end. The bartender knew repeating customers and had a good report with everyone. My waitress was very helpful and didnt come across as “put out” by my questions about the steak. The cut of beaf was beautiful thick cut but seemed much more like a sirloin than Riley as there was very little marbling throughout. I was told the steak was dry aged for over 20 days but it was not as tender as other dry aged steaks I’ve had. The potatoes were perfect with the dill and the bacon dressing for the salad was delicious (highly recommend). I would like to go back for another go. They oysters were also fresh and had good flavor.

I wanted to take my wife out for a date night, and we decided to finally try Porterhouse. We managed to grab an early reservation at the time we wanted, but when we arrived, the staff couldn’t find our names in the system. That’s when we realized we had accidentally booked at their Lakeville location. Thankfully, they were still able to seat us, which we really appreciated.

Our server, Asia, was fantastic, very attentive and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The menu is definitely focused on steak and seafood, so if that’s not your thing the options are limited, but that was fine with us. The decor stood out to me, especially the old-style photos of cattle on hooks, which gave the place a unique touch since it’s a steakhouse.

For appetizers, we ordered the Cajun walleye strips, which were fresh and full of flavor. My wife went with the petite filet mignon, while I tried the crab-stuffed Atlantic salmon. Both dishes were excellent, and everything came out hot and well prepared. The booths were comfortable, the vibe was relaxed but upscale, and the overall atmosphere made it feel perfect for a date night.

As for dress, I saw a mix of casual and business casual outfits from other guests. Since it’s more of a fine dining spot, we were both dress casual, we normally do business to dress casual when we choose fine dining. The restaurant is easy to get to, right off 35E and Little Canada Road, just minutes from Hwy 36 and 694. Parking is a little tight, so I’d recommend arriving early to grab a spot.

Overall, between the service, food, and atmosphere, we had a wonderful evening here and will definitely be back.

The staff that are suppose to welcome you when you walk in and seat you had a weird demeanor towards my friend and I. The whole place was only white older people so when we walked in we definitely got stares lol a 30 min wait with no reservations which wasn’t to bad I guess so I’ll make one next time. Once we were seated everything else was PHENOMENAL! Our waitress not sure her name but she was an Asian woman and she was SOOO sweet and kind and super fast service. The food was so so good asparagus coulda been cooked a tad longer but everything else was amazing. I will be back!

My wife and I just had a wonderful pre-Valentines dinner at Porterhouse. I had a filet and scallops, which were both great. My wife’s stuffed salmon which was quite tasty. Our server, Issie, who did a perfect jo. Her experience as a server was quite evident. She did not at all rush us, despite us learning at 8:30 that there was another seating at our table. The general quality of the food is always top notch. Nice ambience. Despite being busy the acoustics were such that is was easy for us to carry on conversations, despite my mild hearing problem. Their prices are very appropriate for all that you get here.

This place is absolutely fantastic! I’ve had amazing experiences here, from celebrating my birthday to a wonderful Valentine’s dinner. Sara went above and beyond to make my birthday special, and her kindness made the night even more memorable.
The food is simply outstanding—perfectly tender steaks, incredibly delicious cakes, and a soup that is nothing short of fabulous. The salad dressing is unique and flavorful, adding the perfect touch to an already excellent meal.
Every visit here feels special, and I can’t wait to come back for more unforgettable dining experiences! Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I took his mom to dinner. This was my boyfriend’s and my first visit to Porterhouse. We started with the blackened tenderloin tips appetizer, which all of us liked. They were cooked and seasoned well and came with a good sauce (which was just a bonus- rhey were delicious without it). Salads were fine. Bread was good. His mom and I both had the petit filet and my boyfriend got the ribeye. Both filets were overcooked (I ordered mine medium, she ordered hers medium-well, neither had any pink). The ribeye was “pretty good.” He said it he wished it had more of a crust/sear. Cheesy mashed potatoes were good. We tried the espresso martini, pomegranate martini, lemondrop martini and an old fashoned. They were all good and the martinis came with the shaker which was basically a whole extra drink. Our service was great! Atmosphere was good. Overall, for the pricepoint, it was ok.

I recently dined at Porterhouse Steak and Seafood, and while there were some definite highlights, overall the experience didn’t quite live up to the price point or the expectations we had going in.

The reservation process was smooth and convenient—I loved the text updates letting me confirm my table and check in when we were on the way. When we arrived, there was no wait at all and we were seated immediately, which was a great start.

For starters, I ordered the crab cakes, and I have to say they were the best part of the meal—flavorful and well-prepared. I had the ribeye cooked well-done, and while that can sometimes be tricky, it was done nicely. Unfortunately, the salad that came with it was just lettuce, tomatoes, and onions—not exactly what I expected for the price or setting.

My boyfriend ordered the Atlantic Stuffed Salmon, which the menu highlights as the dish that makes everyone at the table jealous. We were expecting something impressive in both taste and presentation. It turned out to be a salmon fillet split open with two crab cakes stuffed inside and some Dijon sauce on top. While the flavor was decent, the presentation felt a little lazy, especially after the hype.

One other surprise was the limited side options—there were only three available that evening (green beans, baked potato, and garlic mashed potatoes), which we didn’t see mentioned clearly on the menu. I went with the baked potato, which was fine but nothing special.

We were celebrating a birthday, and the complimentary cake was a very nice gesture—definitely appreciated.

In the end, while service was solid and the crab cakes were a hit, the rest of the meal was just okay. For the price, I expected more in terms of flavor, presentation, and variety. I’m glad we tried it, but I don’t think it’s a place I’d rush back to.
