Even though there were some huge groups on a Thursday evening, we were still taken care of by the hostess and waitress. We enjoyed the wonderful soup/salad bar along with our delicious entrees. Highly recommend the lightly breaded shrimp and hash browns, as well as the delightful chicken and rib combo. It was so good I forgot to take pictures of the entrees until the end, so the pictures are what we took home. We can’t wait to return!

We have been to Rex’s several times before, but we were disappointed on Valentines Day. We were hit immediately inside the door with Mary Kay representatives asking for information. The salad bar was disappointing. The macaroni salad was pasty, nothing was labeled, and the lobster bisque was more just broth. We ordered the Chicken Cordone Bleu and the salmon. The chicken was a hard dry roll, and the cheese wasnt melted inside. When I cut it, it literally broke. It was served with a small cup of chicken gravy that had a heavy film on top. My rice was on a small saucer, clumpy and cold. The salmon was ok, and the baked potato, but the asparagus was just barely cooked. When paying over $65 for a meal for 2, I would have expected better. The bread was good.

Beyond appalled by the quality of service and food. We put our name down on the list when we arrived and was told ~45 min which was no problem. After an hour we went up to the hostess to find out where we were in line and she looked at the list and said we were crossed off with no explanation why. She then stated we’re now 2 people behind. Well ok… So we waited longer again and then finally were sat. We ordered right away and said we could go to the salad bar but that was empty for about ~10 – 12 min so had to wait for that. Finally got our salad which was actually the best part of the meal. We ordered ribeye, 8 oz filet, and chicken breast. Steaks were laughable for being almost $50 and would be better off getting a frozen Salisbury steak for dinner. To top it all off I requested a new fork and the waitress stated… We don’t do that.

Have been coming here for 15 years but very disappointed Jan. 22. Restaurant was quite cold at 6:30 pm. Salad bar was excellent as usual but prime rib was disappointing, chicken very chewy, and meat not cooked properly (exchanged doneness requested). The homemade hot bread is now frozen bread heated a little. Both hostess and server were attentive and excellent. But we will not be coming back again. Love the birthday bonus.

Both had amazing broasted 1/2 chicken, fresh bread, mashed potatoes, hash browns. Very nice salad bar with two homemade soups. Loved the service, atmosphere and pricing. Great Wisconsin supper club!

We stopped by on a Friday night and grabbed seats at the bar. The cod was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly. We were also pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the drinks were. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely come back again.

We got there too early to dine in the dinning room. Bar tender said the kitchen could still make almost everything anyway. We would just have to be seated in the bar room. Which that was just fine with us if he didn’t mind. We just wanted the soup and salad bar with an appetizer and wine anyway. Staff was very good, food was good and prices were not bad at all. We would return!

A very good place to eat at and very big dining room and a spacious bar. I am surprised that the roast duck is no longer on the menu. That was one of my favorite meals.

This review is based on our wedding that was held at Rex’s. Rex and his staff are so kind and helpful. And the food was out of this world, good. It was hot and delicious when served. Our night went on perfectly, the champagne for our toasts was delicious and Rex made sure we had ample time to decorate. If we could do it again, we would still choose to have our wedding reception at Rex’s! Nothing but wonderful memories for my husband and I as we enjoy married life together. Thank you Rex and staff!
