Known for deep-dish pizza, this casual chain serves other classic Italian food, plus beer & wine.

I’m visiting from out of town and this res was recommended to us by the hotel and Google. And, it did not disappoint!
The waitress was lovely and answered our potentially weird questions about deep dish pizza, and the place was calm and comfortable.
We got the bruschetta as an appetizer because the pizza takes so long to make. Oh my goodness, it was some of the best bruschetta we’ve had!
We got a deep dish pizza with onions and one half meatballs. It was yummy and so thick! The sauce was on point.
I wish we were staying longer because we’d definitely go back!

We tried Giordano’s during our visit to Chicago. It’s one of the city’s famous spots for deep-dish pizza, so expectations were high. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, but the food itself was just okay — not bad, but not as memorable as we hoped. The pizza was heavy and lacked a bit of flavor.
Overall, it was fine for the experience, but I wouldn’t necessarily rush back.

Ordered a starter salad, it was delish! My nephew ordered the large deep dish pizza. Six people shared, each of us eating 1 slice. The other 4 slices were taken back to the hotel for later. My nephew also ordered garlic cheese bread, it was delish. My brother had minestrone soup, a sandwich with garlic cheese fries. The fries were really, really good.

Giordano’s in Rogers Park is exactly what you want when you’re craving classic Chicago deep-dish. The stuffed pizza is thick, cheesy, and unapologetically heavy — in the best way. That buttery crust holds up all the layers of cheese and rich tomato sauce without getting soggy. It’s the kind of meal you plan for, not just grab on the go. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, and the service feels efficient even when it’s busy. If you’re in the neighborhood and want a true Chicago-style pizza experience, this spot definitely satisfies.

Great experience overall. Due to extended cooking times for deep dish pizza, plan on 30-45 minutes for deep dish to cook before you’re served. Ben was our server and he was great

The pizza and service is amazing as long as the owner’s daughter does not take your order. She will not provide substitutions due to food allergies. I called multiple restaurants and they confirmed that they allow substitutions. I do not know if she is just lazy to press additional buttons or she is trying to charge us extra for each individual topping. She was rude and claimed it was “policy” to not allow substitutions. I hope the owner considers her position a more behind the scene role in this wonderful restaurant.

First time here, our waitress Summer was absolutely delightful. She’s so quick, extremely helpful, & can most likely run circles around most the service industry in Chicago!
The calamari was delicious & a must try! Although, I’d be weary of mistaking the charred/fried lemon pieces for calamari… Unless you’re into that sort of adventure.
We ordered the deep dish meat lovers style -yes the pizza- for the 3 of us. After the calamari, the Parmesan garlic fries, we were still able to enjoy two slices each.
If you love pizza I have 3 words. The cheese pull! I’ll be back again, & asking for Summer each time!

I ordered on Super Bowl Sunday and was very impressed that we received our order within the hour. So I gave them 5 stars for service. However, the pizza was the worst I have ever had from Giordanos. I ordered an individual stuffed and it has a super thin layer of chewy cheese that just didn’t taste right. Also ordered a thin pepperoni hot honey and it was over cooked and really didn’t taste good either. Also ordered 2 large pizzas and wings for my son and his friends. The verdict is still out on the quality of those items but my expectations are very low. Not sure what’s happening with Giordanos. I will never order from this location again and will seriously consider ordering from any Giordanos.

Best pizza in existence, in a class of its own and a Chicago area classic. Be sure to try the stuffed pizza if you haven’t already – if you don’t like it there’s something wrong with you. I’ve met people around the country who’ve said it’s the best pizza they ever had. Also a cozy location and friendly staff.

Was in town on business and wanted authentic Chicago pizza. All the locals suggested Giordano’s. I loved the deep dish stuffed pizza! The dough is certainly special. We also had a Ceasar salad and breadstick to tide us over because the pizza takes a while to bake. Our server, Shay B was fabulous! Highly recommend stopping here for some great food!
