The food is absolutely amazing here! The teriyaki chicken and sweet carrots are my absolute favorites! No one can beat their carrots! The drive through can be slow but that is due to the food being fresh. It may be a minute but it is absolutely worth it!

These people are really cheap. They be kicking with so much service for years. Their meals are at $20 without a drink. But couldn’t invest in making their paying customers a better environment where we are not literally crowded like sardines and forced to smell the person next to you that doesn’t believe in deodorant. Then the drive through their are lots of times they lost service due to line going around building into the main road way. And wait for ever to get your turn. TOO CROWDED AND WOULD BE NICE TO BE MORE CONSIDERATE AND GET INTO A BIGGER RELAXED BUILDING.

Honestly we didn’t have a regular area until today will be doing our food from now on when going from Knoxville to Kingsport to collect rental payments after a hard long day I believe people and family’s should look into this establishment service is great and honestly can’t beat how great everything

Quality has gone downhill over the years in my opinion. And the wait times are ridiculous, sometimes 45 minutes such as this past time with only 4 cars waiting. Better places to eat. Better people will consider you.

The food use to be good, yesterday it was just okay the burnt mushrooms were irritating. The prices went up which was a disappointment but we still kept going. Yesterday I noticed that the plates have gotten smaller and so have the portions. You’re actually charging me more and giving me less, I’m done I’ll be going somewhere else.

Everytime I go; I order the same thing and it continually gets messed up. It’s only one thing. The shrimp and chicken hibachi. I have a kid that eats it too and I ask for no mushrooms or broccoli and still they give me mushrooms and the broccoli. Shame on me for not checking before leaving but, 3 times in a row. “SMH” Step it up. I Worked as a bartender and server my whole life and getting an order correct is not that challenging. The audacity to even ask for a tip at the window is appalling when you can’t get my order right. Can really make someone feel some type of way.

4/2022, I checked out this locally popular Japanese take out place and I am pleasantly surprised! I know Japanese food well and certainly didn’t expect too much from a restaurant in a small TN town.
So I ordered the Hibachi chicken, see pic. The size is big (Huge actually) lots of chicken, mushrooms and carrots. Rice is also included. The sauce came separately and I like that. I only needed half of it and really enjoyed my dinner. Be aware that the line during peak time is very long.. I was told.
Went back to try the Teriyaki chicken today.. sweeter this time. But wonder why the same source?

I had an okay experience at Akita Japanese Grill. The drive-thru was quick and the food was solid. However, I did find a small black piece of plastic in my chicken, which was disappointing. I almost accidentally ate it.
Also, I wish they had a larger menu with more options to choose from. Overall, it’s a convenient spot for Japanese flavors on the go, just with a bit of room for improvement.
