it seems like every college town has a Little Italy pizza shop. This one was great and located right in the heart of the campus and downtown area. Every visit downtown, I always end up grabbing a bite to eat from here.

CO₂ was out, so no draft beer, but pitchers were still listed on the menu. When I asked for the bottle equivalent of a pitcher, I was told it would be charged at full bottle price instead.
In a college town, pitchers exist because students are on ramen-noodle budgets. Turning a $12 pitcher into full $4 per 12-oz bottle pricing because of a mechanical issue isn’t exactly college-friendly.
Our group of six spent $77 on pizza alone. A pitcher is $12, while five 12-oz bottles at $4 each is $20 —> an $8 difference. The restaurant could’ve sacrificed a small $8 loss on beer to keep a solid table happy, especially one already spending that much on food.
Totally understand that equipment breaks, but good college-town restaurants usually find a fair workaround. This just felt like a miss on customer experience.

I’ve been coming here for years during lunch. Lately, every side salad I get has brown, spoiled lettuce in it, mushy tomatoes and cucumbers. You even pay an up charge for their salads. Very disappointed. Service is good! This was a to-go order. I typically don’t see the quality until I’ve left the store. Hit or miss! Not consistent.

I was in town for business and wanted some good pizza. I had two young kids with me, so delivery to the hotel seemed like the best option. I called Little Italy restaurant to ask about delivery and they told me that they didn’t deliver, but I should use the Tiger Town ToGo service for delivery of their food. So I placed my order through the app and waited.

The food took over 1.5 hours to arrive. It was completely cold. No stretchy cheese. Not even warm. For what it’s worth, the pizza had a good flavor and I could tell that it Probably would have been good when it was fresh.

Since we are at the same hotel for the whole weekend, I decided to try this again the next night. Again, same deal. Ordered the food through the Tiger Town ToGo delivery service. Again, took OVER 90 minutes to arrive at my hotel. Again the pizza was completely cold. Even the kids complained and they’ll usually eat any kind of pizza without complaint. Very disappointing.

If you’re looking for a little slice of Italy without the airfare or passport stamp, Little Italy Pizzeria in downtown Auburn is where your hunger goes to say “mamma mia.”

This place is old-school – no fancy lights, no over-the-top décor – just straight-up, honest-to-goodness Italian comfort food. The pizza? Looks like it was handcrafted by angels with pizza peels. Perfectly baked, cheesy, and satisfying. But the true heavyweight champion of this joint is the Chicken Parmesan Sub. Holy marinara … this thing could feed a small army or one college student after finals week. The bread is soft but holds strong, the sauce has the right tang, and the cheese stretches like it’s auditioning for a mozzarella commercial.

Now, fair warning: this is not a place for people in a hurry. The pace here is about the same as a lazy Sunday in an Italian village. You’ll get your food (and it’ll be worth every second of the wait) but don’t come in thinking it’s drive-thru fast.

Also, I did ask for breadsticks. They looked at me like I’d asked for sushi. And fries? Forget it. But honestly, with food this good, you won’t miss them.

Bottom line: it’s authentic, it’s delicious, and it’s got that cozy “family-run” energy that makes you feel like you’re eating in someone’s kitchen. Grab a sub, grab a slice, and enjoy the Auburn version of Italian hospitality.

Slid into Auburn, GA late at night…hungry before I checked into my hotel (See review for Microtel – Auburn, GA). Called several pizza places including Papa John’s who refused to make a pizza before their advertised closing time. Found Little Italy Pizzeria .

Called and placed my order for their special pizza.

Walked in to pick up my pizza and the place was packed at nearly midnight – always a pretty good sign of quality. The air was filled with the smell of fresh tomatoes – garlic, and sausage (another great sign).

I ordered the pizza “very well done – not burnt…

When they called my name, as the fragrant aromas from my pizza fresh out of the stonevoven filled the air, I peaked into tje box…

My pizza was cooked to absolute perfection. Brown bubbles of crust and caramelized cheese burst through the generous toppings of pepperoni, sausage, green bell peppers, and, onions…

Even though my hotel was about 10 minutes away (and I stopped for gas on the way back)…

When I arrived back at my hotel, the pizza was still piping hot and it was absolutely delicious…

Service was top rate as well.

If you are in Auburn, AL – Absolutely do not miss the opportunity to experience and enjoy a pizza from Little Italy Pizza too!

If you don’t need a whole pizza, I saw on their menu, they serve slices of pizza too!

Little Italy Pizzeria
Little Italy Pizzeria is a casual, family-friendly spot known for its classic Italian-American fare. The pizzeria offers a wide range of pizzas, pasta dishes, calzones, and sandwiches, often praised for generous portions and fresh ingredients. Guests appreciate the crispy, cheesy pizzas and flavorful sauces. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it ideal for family dinners or casual gatherings with friends. Service is generally friendly, though some reviews note that wait times can be longer during busy hours. Overall, it’s recommended for those craving hearty, traditional Italian comfort food at reasonable prices.

Pizza is always hot and made for you!! Pizza by the slice is the way to go, it was delicious!! They add toppings to your slice then cook it. I actually prefer this rather than having like 10 pizzas made that you have to choose from like some places. The staff is super friendly and they are also patient when we had never ordered there before. We went on a Friday night at 10pm in April and it was busy! There are tables of all sizes inside to sit at. They serve Pepsi products. They do give you a water cup if desired. We ordered a slice of pep/sausage and it was so so good!! I also got ranch to dip it and it tasted great and was 55 cents. The individual slices are like 12inches long and 5 inches wide. The crust was fluffy and so delicious, not burnt either. We also got an eggplant 6inch sandwich. I will say that I had to buy the 55cent marinara to put on the sandwich because it just needed something. The eggplant was a bit chewy. But the marinara was delicious, probably homemade. They have an ordering system that just works, where you get a number at the top of your reciept. They call your number on a microphone and you have to show a receipt at the pickup section.

If you want to order from a place that will not prepare your food accurately, this is the place to go! Ordered an Italian sub with no mustard or onions and I’m pretty sure a whole small onion was on it. Good thing I didn’t have an allergy, but I’ll just stop with giving them “another try.”
