The next year a 2nd food truck was added and the next year we began the process of obtaining our first Brick and mortar location. Bringing a Jamaican twist on old recipes from the islands we invite you to try our exotic flavors that have warmed the hearts of thousands in our community.

There was no way I traveled from New York to D.C. and didn’t try the jerk chicken tacos at Jerk At Nite and they delivered. The jerk chicken was smoky, flavorful, and well-seasoned, easily the star of the meal.

I also had the mac and cheese decent, about a 6/10, but the tacos more than made up for it.

Overall, I’m giving this spot a valid 8.9/10. If you’re in D.C., the jerk chicken tacos are a must-try.

If you’re looking for a Caribbean Restaurant in the DMV area? Then you need to add this Jerk At Nite Restaurant to your restaurant list of places to visit. Our meal was delicious, made with flavor and tasty all the way to the last bite. Staff were friendly and customer service was great. This location offers a variety of options to choose from on the menu. This location was clean and includes a small indoor dining area, and it’s located in a small industrial area with a limited amount of parking space available out front of the restaurant but there’s no available street parking space.

I believe I saw the jerk chicken tacos in an Instagram post and saved it to my D.C. Yelp list, and I’m glad I did!! The tacos were worth the wait coming from Houston! The flour shells were soft and crispy, the chicken was well seasoned and juicy, and the peppers/onions rounded the flavor out nicely. The cabbage was bomb, wasn’t expecting much it was a pleasant surprise. The beef patty was average but solid. 9/10 overall.

The inside of the restaurant was small but did have places for you to dine-in. Service didn’t take a long time considering the chicken was cooked fresh, but I also went after the lunch rush around 2 pm. If it was during busy hours I’d recommending placing a pick up order. Street parking is also extremely difficult to find and there isn’t a parking lot.

My salmon was dry, my JMac was so salty and over seasoned,, couldn’t even eat it. I wasted $35, I’m so disappointed. I called to speak with the manager however he was unavailable.

So. My lower score is strictly based off the portion size to price ratio! Other than that, the sides I ordered were very flavorful. Just don’t believe it was worth $16!!! For 3 sides

I ordered my food to go but it was all good from the ordering to me receiving my food. I ordered the Wingz and Tingz. Flavor was great. The wings were a little big for me, which some folk may prefer; I just happen to like smaller, well done, wings. The macaroni and cheese and cabbage were DELICIOUS. I will go back for the mac and cheese FOR SURE.

I came to this restaurant based on a reel review I saw on Instagram. When we arrived around 3:30pm on a Friday, we were told they didn’t have most of the menu. Then we were offered entrees with double cabbage since there was no rice and peas. We were told it would take 10 minutes for the rice and peas, so we decided to wait. We ended up waiting about 25 minutes.

The jerk chicken was about $16 (+tax), and the curry chicken was $23 (+tax). The size of the jerk chicken plate was rather small for the price, but it tasted pretty good. The curry chicken had a nice taste, but the jerk chicken seemed more flavorful. The vegetables that were placed on top did not seem cooked. Additionally, we asked for double rice and peas on both plates (no cabbage), but over half of my plate was cabbage. I don’t care for cabbage in general, but because I waited almost 30 minutes for the rice and peas, it added insult to injury.

The decor of the restaurant is nice, but sitting by windows during the day would be recommended since there is no window pane to prevent the flies that migrate there from entering. Citronella may help.

I saw this place on social media and decided to visit since I was in the area. I paid with cash but they had no change (coins) to give me in return per cashier. That’s not good. Parking in the area not so great either.
Everyone’s palate for food is different. Rice wasnt bad but it taste like it had a sweetness to it. The Jerk chicken had no spice to it for it to be jerk. The Mac n cheese had a different taste then what I’m use to and I didn’t really like it.
Rice-7/10
Jerk Chicken 6/10
Mac n Cheese 3/10

This was a surprising twist on Jamaican dining. The artistic flair was savory…Every bite was an explosion of flavors and spice. The portions were family style and the service was impeccable… we left no crumbs… We can wait for our next dining experience…Highly recommend.

I had to write a review because I was disappointed, and for what was paid could have gone where I know I would have been satisfied. I have never been here previously and got the Rasta pasta with salmon. The penne was overcooked, the “alfredo” was watery/runny, drippy even. The salmon was just ok, and the entire dish was covered in shaved cheese, probably Parmesan. I ate maybe a third and was over it, didn’t finish it. The other person ordered jerk salmon with cabbage and was satisfied which is why I gave 3 stars.
