Not knowing this place was affiliated with the original location in DC is an addition to how good that fish was. Omgeeeee!! I haven’t had good fish like this since they closed in NE DC. What a wonderful surprise. 10/10. Try the ribs too! You can smell them in the parking lot as you arrive. I’ll be here every Sunday after church! Check them out.

I’m always driving past and seeing the smoker going in the parking lot, so today I decided to pull up and check it out! It’s just a humble counter service kinda place, but they have some good lunch options, including ribs, chicken, seafood, and various sides. The half rack of ribs was reasonably priced, and a clam shell box of the rib tips made for a generous lunch portion. A side of the potato salad also hit the spot – definitely homemade. The golden BBQ sauce with the mustard flavor was delicious! Seems pretty popular with the locals; it got busy, so if you can, best call ahead for pickup.

First time trying H&D. Its located in a small strip center and offers take out and has outdoor seating. On this particular day there was plenty parking but I have driven by before and noticed a full parking lot.
Was greeted with friendliness when I approached the window and not just the usual “how may I help you.”
I ordered the fried wings and mac and cheese. The noodles were cooked just enough and very cheesy.
Now for the chicken. It had a nice brown exterior but no crunch. The wings are really large which I noticed more often than not in this area. I bit into the wing and almost gagged and had to spit the food out. Also the meat was undercooked and rubbery. Maybe the wings were cooked too fast or not completely thawed.

I used to go to their spot in N.E. DC years ago and the fish was always delicious. I have been to this location in Maryland, Glenarden several times and I’ve been disappointed. The whiting fish is not seasoned well, and the whiting taste rubbery. The fish taste bland. Is it really whiting?

Im used to waiting for Horace and Dickies im from DC but This was the worst experience of Horace and Dickies I have ever had and the stoe was empty, It was one customer there prior to me entering the restaurant. We were never greeted. The entire time the cashier was on the phone. We waited nearly 10 minutes without any acknowledgement of being a customer the service was terrible i never got to order. my patience ran thin . I wanted to leave was hungry . We went across the street and got Hip Hop Fish and chicken not what I wanted but I was acknowledged as a customer waiting for service.

If I could score a 0 for the food, I would the food was just absolutely horrible. I bought 2 fish combos with greens.
With sweet potato souffle.
At the price of 17.00 also order a chicken shrimp fish combo and a shrimp basket with macaroni and cheese.
And ordered slab of ribs.
The fish and shrimps were fried hard. No seasoning.
The shrimps were sizes of someone’s pinky.
The greens I don’t know who fixed them, but they don’t need to make anymore. The yams, they don’t need to make them anymore.
The customer service is at a hundred.The cleanness of the place is at a hundred but the food is at zero looks are deceiving.I spent over a hundred dollars in this place and couldn’t eat nothing. Brought the food home to my family.They didn’t like it.It was just horrible, never go there again.Please stay clear. OopsI forgot seafood salad was horrible as well.
