This place was recommended by several people when I asked for suggestions on short notice. We started with crab wontons, then have shrimp ettouffee and crabcakes orleans with cream spinach, followed with white chocolate bread pudding, which was surprisinglynot very bready, which i really liked! Actually thought it was cheesecake on the plate at first place. Food was no joke, dang fine! Waitress was fantastic, never let drinks go dry timing was perfecto. I’d LOVE to return, time will tell as we’re here for a college visit to see if the Ole kiddo wants to make a home here next year.

Nice cajun restaurant in Hattiesburg . We entered through the bar area outside and it was beautiful! They had an outdoor movie area, a big bar, lots of seating, and fire pits. Inside was huge with 3 more bars and lota of festive Christmas decor. We looked up the menu before and went specifically for Cajun food and for the grilled oysters. But when we got there the waiter told us they did not have any oysters (I do not know for how long). The server was very nice and did a great job making recommendations and describing the fish of the day. We asked for a gluten free menu for my husband which they provided which was nice. We started with the Crab Wontons which were tasty. They had a creamy filling and were crunchy with a sweet chili sauce for dipping. I thought the presentation was lacking and they would have been nice with a garnish or something like a slaw but overall they tasted good. We also got a bowl of the “signature” corn and crab chowder. I was hoping for more cajun flavor and definitely more crab , maybe even some crab on top, but it was more of a basic potato corn chowder with a hint of seafood and no spice. My kids loved it though. Next time I would try the gumbo. The rest of our meal arrived pretty fast and the server was good with refills and clearing plates up until then. I got the Chicken Cobb salad as recommended by the server. I asked for no tomato and dressing on the side. It arrived mixed up, not with the ingredients in rows like some salads so it was hard to tell what was on it and it looked messy. But when I started eating I found that it was covered in chopped tomatoes and was completely missing the avocado. I told our server I would just pick out the tomatoes and he did go get me a side of avocado. Obviously a kitchen mistake and pretty frustrating to have 2 things wrong with one dish. My daughter got the shrimp poboy and fried green tomatoes and loved it especiallythe remoulade sauce! We got a slice of pumpkin cheesecake to go and it was pretty tasty too. Service was great until we got out food and then our server disappeared. It was around 8 and we were thr only ones left in the room so it felt.like he was cleaning and forgot about us. We all need refills and the check but had to wait about 20 minutes. Other than that wait the server was great but I think at the end of the night that happens often and makes customers feel ignored. Overall, I think we will definitely be back. I know restaurants constantly update their menu but I was really hoping for a oyster poboy or debris poboy as pictured online but neither were on the menu. I will cross my fingers that they have grilled oysters next time b/c that would have made our meal so much better.

Not on the menu, but I had the blackened salmon and shrimp with Mardi Gras pasta and it was fantastic. My daughter had the catfish with jambalaya and said the batter didn’t have a lot of seasoning, but the jambalaya over top provided enough. We also ordered the white chocolate bread pudding. It’s not a traditional bread pudding, texture was more like a thicker flan, but it tasted great. If we’re in Hattiesburg again we’ll be back!

Crescent City Grill never disappoints. Their brunch menu is incredible — everything from fresh seafood dishes to the Crescent City Burger with bacon, which is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is truly top‑tier. If you stop by the Mahogany Bar, Luke and Taylor will take great care of you. One of the best dining spots around!

Went for mid-week dinner. Started with fried cheese curds, they were lightly breaded for a good crisp and cheesy bite. I chose a Dark & Stormy for my cocktail. I usually go for something sweet/fruity but the vibe of the restaurant is “Subtle Sexy” so my drink had to match! It was well crafted, a nice sip to unwind after work. For my entree, I ordered the Steak Frites, medium. Tender and full of flavor! We went home full and satisfied. The waitress was very nice, attentive without smothering, and the manager was doing the rounds to make sure everyone was enjoying their meal.

Ate at Crescent City Grill in Hattiesburg and it was really good. It’s a New Orleans–style restaurant, and for being in Hattiesburg (not on the Coast or in Louisiana), the Cajun flavors held up for the most part. We had the shrimp po’boy, shrimp and grits, and the oysters Rockefeller – all pretty solid. The standout was the white chocolate bread pudding – different texture than you would think but it’s so worth it. Overall, good food, good flavors, and worth going back.

Loved this place! The food was amazing and the service was terrific. Server was polite and went above and beyond. I was only passing through town so I only went once but if I was a local id be there weekly. The catfish was amazing and the gumbo is to die for.

I was embarrassed to have recommended we chose to come here Saturday, April 26 with family who came in from out of state for my MIL’s funeral. My sister-in-laws meal was never brought out. We finally asked when we doubted it would ever come. Glad we asked! Her meal had not been entered. Then, it didn’t come and didn’t come…. We asked again and it finally came out of the kitchen 30 minutes later and the rest of us were all finished eating. She requested a medium burger and they must have gone on break and forgot about it. It came out very charred and well done. She couldn’t eat much of it, tasteless.
The server was new, we talked him through how to open a bottle of wine, he was very friendly and he was trying.

We had such a great experience at Crescent City Grill! Our server, Grace, took amazing care of us out on the patio. She was so sweet, attentive, and made sure everything came out just right. We absolutely loved the Zydeco Chicken, it was delicious! It’s always nice when a server goes above and beyond to make the meal relaxing and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Grace!
