Went here for Valentines day with my wife. Not a super long wait and the food was excellent and not overpriced! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would come back again solely based on thsi experience.

We’ve gone to House of Beef several times, we always save it for special occasions. Our last visit was for our anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. It was really busy for a Saturday night and the wait seemed like it took forever but we waited, we’re seated, ordered, finished our meal and we’re paying our tab in just a few minutes over an hour. I’d say that’s pretty good for a rush hour Saturday night. The hostess was very sweet and kept apologizing for our wait, even though she told us about 15 min and we waited barely 20 min. Our server greeted us almost immediately, was very nice and even she apologized for our wait of a whopping 20 minutes. The salad/soup bar was fresh and had not just soup and green salad, but a wide variety of other salads and sides. Our food arrived in record time and was absolutely amazing! I usually get a steak, but opted for the prime rib which was definitely on point. A lot of places either over or under season, but it was just perfect and melted like butter with every bite. And the bread is of course always top notch!!
My only complaint is I called earlier in the day to ask if they accepted reservations, the person answering the phone responded with, “Not same day reservations”. While we were waiting to be seated there was 3 people that showed up and when signing in said they called earlier that day for a reservation and of course they were seated before us. So, not entirely sure what that was. But my suggestion is to definitely call in advance for a reservation. Love the service, food and atmosphere as always!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with our two young kids.
The beef stew at the soup&salad bar was delicious, same as our mains – the Tritip and hamburger.
Great service and cool cowboy- historic vibe atmosphere. Staff was kind and friendly. Would definitely come back.

First time to eat here. Was very impressed by the quality and quantity of food served. I was surprised to see that the salad and soup bar was included. Severs were great, smiling all the time and saying happy valentines day. Will definitely come back again, even though I live 45 minutes away.

I was uncomfortable with the Atmosphere. Dark inside and old. We were seated next to call in orders. People kept going around us and standing next to our table. They ran out of the pulled pork at 5:30pm peak dinner time. So I ordered cod and fries. Fries were hard on the inside. Over cooked I guess. The fish, well?? I would not recommend. Spouse had prime rib. She couldn’t finish it. Taste was very bland. (Pic) Maybe we should try something else there if we go again….
Really we didn’t enjoy the meals.
But Our waitress was very nice.

We came here last night as part of my wife’s 60th birthday celebration. My two adult daughters and my 18 mo. old grandson were also in attendance. We were promptly and warmly greeted by Amanda as soon as we walked through the door. We had 8 p.m. reservations and we were immediately led to our table. She sat us at a nice long table next to the salad / soup bar. This was very convenient and gave us easy access to the well-stocked Salad bar and delicious cream of carrot soup. I wanted the T-Bone steak, and I apparently snagged the last one of the night. Good thing because it tasted amazing! My wife got the Filet Mignon, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Our server (Amanda) was simply amazing. She was always ready and quick to respond to our requests and answer all our questions. My grandson, who normally doesn’t react well to strangers, seemed to adore Amanda and the support team as well. They made us all feel right at home. Amanda even arranged a special surprise dessert and singing in honor of my wife’s 60th birthday. We were quite impressed with the friendliness and eagerness to make our dining experience a positively memorable one. We are already planning our next visit to this family friendly, reasonably priced, quality restaurant.

My husband and I came here on a Monday afternoon. It was delicious!

You can smell the smoker from the parking lot. The parking lot is a good size and there is more parking on the street.

The soup served (beef barley) was so filling and seasoned perfectly!
I got the pulled pork sandwich.. it is some of the best pulled pork I’ve had! The BBQ sauce was my favorite.

They have a full bar. I appreciate that our waitress asked for my ID, it was an unexpected compliment. Her name was Jax and she was lovely.

The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is very kind. There was a salad bar, and it looked to be a big hit. I will definitely be trying it for myself on my next visit.

Something I really enjoyed and I don’t come across it often: I was overhearing people from other tables comment on how they were loving the food.

Can’t wait to be back.

They were severely understaffed for the dinner hour tonight. Other people got up and walked out and I heard frustrated people at other tables. It took forever to get our drinks and I had to walk up and remind our waitress. Then when our drinks came they were wrong. Then it took a really long time to get our food. We just wanted to leave after eating, but we waited and waited, so I had to go up and ask for the check, too. The food was just so-so. The tri-tip sandwich seasoning was not at all on point and my son wasn’t super happy. Also, the onion rings weren’t that good either. My husband’s chicken fried steak was just okay. My ribeye was fine but nothing to write home about. The carrot side dish and the salad bar were probably the best things. But there were intially no spoons at the salad bar for the soup. This restaurant must be kept in business by tourists passing through; it can’t be locals returning again and again for this type of food and service.

The all you can eat salad bar and soup bar is back!!! I normally get “The Works” Tri-Tip sandwich, but I went ahead and tried the pulled pork sandwich on this trip, and I was not disappointed. The bread was soft and fresh. The helping of meat was generous. The BBQ Sauce was good. The only thing that would have made the sandwich even better would be if they added coleslaw to it. The fries were good as usual after we dipped them in the awesome BBQ sauce.

We tried the salad bar since it came with our meals again. It was really good! There were a bunch of choices of salads, mixed salads, Fruit salads…. all the salads.

The garlic bread that comes with the dinner is great too!
