We visited as a large group of 10 and the staff were incredibly accommodating. I called ahead to ask if they could make space for us, and despite the restaurant being small, they happily put tables together. We ordered the Monday special which is one rack ribs, 1lb wings, salad or fries for $38. We ordered 4 specials. Everything was delicious — ribs were tender, smoked wings were amazing, and fries were hot and fresh. You can choose caesar salad, fries or even coleslaw as your side with no extra charge. Or onion rings as your side with an extra charge of $3.50. All our meals came out hot and fast.
Service was excellent, especially thanks to Rose. My uncle visiting from Hong Kong loved it so much he’s already asking to return. We’re very happy and satisfied and are already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the wings and ribs, and I went with the pulled beef brisket, and everything exceeded expectations.
The brisket was incredibly tender, packed with smoky flavour, and clearly slow-cooked properly. The portion size was generous and very filling and great value for the price. The sides (fries, beans, coleslaw, and cornbread) were fresh, well-seasoned, and complemented the meat perfectly.
The wings were juicy with a great sauce, and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with just the right balance of sweetness and smoke. You can really taste the quality and care put into the food.
Overall, amazing taste, solid portions, and comforting BBQ done right. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to when we’re craving real BBQ in Newmarket.

The interior is very simplistic and cozy, the staff is very friendly and always checking in to see if you have everything you need, Lee the owner is a great person and very welcoming into his business.
My wife and I came with an appetite and got the #4 platter, needless to say it did not disappoint at all! The meats were cooked to perfection, properly sauced and very filling!
Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend coming here with your family and friends 10/10 for everything!

Hands down one of the best BBQ joints I’ve ever been to! The food and service were absolutely outstanding. The wings were unreal—perfectly cooked, packed with flavour, and easily some of the best I’ve ever had. The pulled pork was just as incredible: unbelievably tender, juicy, and full of rich, smoky BBQ flavour that you just don’t find in Ontario. Every bite was next-level. On top of that, the staff went above and beyond to take amazing care of my friends and me, making the entire experience unforgettable. I’ll 100% be back to satisfy my BBQ cravings again and again. Highly recommended!

Wow. The food was extremely good. Best BBQ we have had in years. A very happy find, we ordered the Big Bone combo and it was a lot of food, we had to take some home. The owner noticed that we didnt order any pulled pork and gave us samples, also incredible.
The happiest thing we found were the smoked chicken wings. Not breaded, not fried, perfect for my wife’s diet.
If you have a hankering for some BBQ you would be well served to pay them a visit.

I regularly visit this Big Bones BBQ location at Newmarket and have always enjoyed the food quality. However, my last visit was a letdown. I was served a burger that was overcooked with a burnt taste. Despite this experience, I do not plan on stopping my visits here. I am sharing this feedback in the hopes that the owner sees it. From my observations, I think the issue might be due to a lack of proper supervision on weekends as I have noticed better service when the owner and a senior staff are present during the weekdays.

Hands down the best BBQ. They serve you so much you will definitely be taking some home. I’m a big guy and still took half of it home. The fries, cole slaw and baked beans are the best especially the fries.I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was on a sub bun and piled high. The service was top notch. Thank you will definitely be back when in the area.

Ordered the beef brisket platter tonight and it was delicious. Normally I always ask the team at Big Bone to put the barbecue sauce on the side as I’ve been mentally scarred from other barbecue places that put enormous amounts of sauce.
