Very old time feel but still clean and friendly service. Food was hot, fresh and served quickly. The service was tremendous, the two ladies were attentive and very friendly. You could tell most customers were regulars. I will be going back soon!!

We had a really nice dinner. I tried the chicken fried steak, and it was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend went with the ground burger steak, and he said it was very fresh, right off the grill.
Our waitress was just great. I was a bit shy about asking for more tomatoes for my salad, but she was happy to bring them. It was also nice that our salads came out almost immediately after we ordered.
One thing that surprised us was when our main plates arrived, they both had corn on them. We actually didn’t realize a vegetable came with the meal, and we weren’t given any options for what that vegetable would be. Our waitress should have told us about the side and clarified the options, if there were any.
Despite that one small point, we really like going there. When we got there around 4:30 PM, it was pretty quiet. But by the time we left about an hour later, at 5:30 PM, the place had started to fill up. We will definitely be back to try more menu options.

My Husband and I were referred to this restaurant for an impromptu date and the Catfish was suggested!! My only “aww moment” was that it wasn’t Catfish, it was swai BUT it was seasoned well!! They’re brownies are a great night cap to your meal!! I usually enjoy walnut brownies, these don’t have walnuts but those chunks of chocolate chips inside those soft brownies were a hit for me!! My husband enjoyed his meal as well!! They’re House made Greek salad dressing was good as well!!

I’ve ordered a few things here the past few times. The pictures order was an omelette with gravy and a side of fries. I the past few times after the pictured visit, I have ordered the slim Jim and fries. I highly recommend the slim Jim if your into classic sandwiches!
My son always orders the pancakes and sausage whenever we go to this joint. He likes the pancakes because that’s all he ever wants from here. My wife has been choosing something different each visit we’ve had and she has liked every order. Also, every visit, the waitress’ have been great and very kind!
All in all, I recommend this joint if you want a good meal!

Everyone’s food was excellent. We had catfish, seafood platter, hamburger and fries with coleslaw, and a corned beef sandwich with hushpuppies (hushp was a special). We had a hot fudge sunday and cheesecake. Fast, friendly service. We were the only customers there on a Tuesday evening. Physical atmosphere is a little outdated but I’m happy to overlook it for the great food. 90s hits were playing low.

Since 1991 known as some of the very best Catfish around Metro Detroit for a very good reason. Lightly Dusted Cornmeal Breaded Catfish WOWED everytime. I had the Fisherman’s Platter be Catfish, Cod, Jumbo Shrimp, Scallops and Smelt Yummy. I added Collar Greens, Hush Puppies and Mac n Cheese . Southern Soulfood at it’s best. Full house at lunch time on Friday, they have thousands of regular customers for decades. Easy to find exit Wayne road off I- 94 just a half mile to corner of Wick and Wayne. She had a Wonderful Hot Grilled Chicken topped Salad and Bowl of French Onion Soup . Note limited hours Open all day Friday for Dine inside, 10 till 2 pm rest of week. And take out till 8pm everyday, Closed on Sunday. Fantastic service each visit, three times in last two weeks. Needed a quick bite before our flight, and this place delivered! The service was fast and friendly, which made timing our meal easy. Our food was pretty darn good—exactly what you want for a standard, satisfying diner meal. Highly recommend if you have some extra time before heading to your gate!
