Great fried clams with a spectacular view! mg42524. • 3y ago. Grew up five minutes from here, it’s one of my favorite places in the world.

Gorgeous setting! The soft shell lobster was fantastic. The lobster roll was pretty bland and the haddock chowder didn’t have much flavor. I would definitely come back to try other menu items and for the incredible view.

Tucked away in the scenic harbor of Georgetown, this spot delivers quintessential Maine charm. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, with stunning ocean views that make every bite feel special. The lobster rolls were packed with meat—fresh, sweet, and generously portioned. We also had the fried oysters, which were locally caught and incredibly fresh, crisp on the outside and tender inside. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the relaxed coastal vibe.

Definitely recommend!

Great lobster and everything else! Recommend ordering smaller lobsters and get multiple one vs ordering a big one. More meat more tenderness! Lobster is boiled to perfection (as good as steamed) and we finished everything we ordered.

Great view too! Can get busy so arrive early! Parking can be tricky during busy times too so again, arrive early for best experience!

Ice cream shack next door for a great after meal snack

Being late in the season, some menu options weren’t available. But we loved the food, outdoor area for eating and sight seeing and the people! There was a wait to order and a little bit of a walk, but we enjoyed that aspect of it as well.

Just drove all the way up the Maine coast, saw the sights, and ate lobster the whole way.

This is the spot. Beautiful atmosphere. Fresh lobster. Great portions. Good people.

It felt like a totally authentic Maine lobster experience. Loved it.

Best lobster roll in Maine! Piled high on a homemade grilled potato roll. They say the lobster is sweeter in Georgetown because the water is deeper and colder. I’d have to agree. It’s window service with They outdoor seating and a BYOB policy. So much fun to sit on the water, watching the lobster boats and eat and have a beer or a glass of wine. If you need to grab a beer, there is a general store to the left of the parking lot with a great selection. I can’t stop thinking about their food!!

Unmatched Coastal Charm and Some of the Best Fried Oysters Around

Five Islands Lobster Co. delivered exactly what we came to Maine for: fresh, no frills seafood in a setting that is pure coastal magic. Tucked away on the rocky shoreline with stunning harbor views, this spot is a gem.

The fried oysters were a standout. Perfectly crisp on the outside, tender and briny on the inside, some of the best we have had anywhere. And of course, the lobster was as fresh as it gets. Sweet, tender, and cooked to perfection. You can taste the care in every bite.

The atmosphere is casual and relaxed with picnic tables overlooking the working harbor. It is the kind of place where you roll up your sleeves, dig in, and let the ocean breeze do the rest.

If you are in the area and looking for authentic Maine seafood with unforgettable views, Five Islands is a must.

You should go here to eat the best Lobsters in Maine as fresh as it could get.
The corn on the cob were so sweet!
Not a fancy place outdoor sitting but we loved the food. It’s self service.
Would highly recommend, priced very reasonably! We didn’t know it’s BYOB

It is a cool place with 3 spots for food: whole lobsters, other seafood, and ice cream. We tried a bit of everything and it was all good. It was super foggy when we were there which was pretty cool. We wanted to be on the water but could barely see anything.

In my continuing quest to find the best lobster roll on the greater New England coast, Five Islands is clearly a cool place that is family/dog friendly with outstanding views. Classic order at the counter and then pick up at another counter depending on what you order. Service was fast and very friendly…even offering a treat to my boxer. Huge place with tons of outdoor seating available. The day we visited was not super busy so parking on a busy day could be crazy.

So let’s get down to it. The lobster roll was pretty darn good…good size, light mayo, and super fresh but mostly claw/knuckle so while flavor, freshness, buttered/grilled classic roll definitely put it in the top third range (I rank lobster rolls in range sections 1 to 3 – top range is a very good roll). The price and claw/knuckle combo put it in the lower part of the top tier. Fries were solid lobster roll fries.

Whole bellied fried clams were huge and incredibly fresh…also a decent price. Wish they had a tad longer amount of time in the fryer. Always gotta try the o rings and these were very good onion rings on the thicker side with great batter to onion ratio. Again, could have used a tad more time in the fryer.

Star of the day goes to the Jenny Special. Grilled Haddock with a crab cake on a nice soft buttered and grilled bun. Wasn’t sure about it but do yourself a favor and try it.

Would definitely return…
