Elmer’s has a long history of serving up home-style breakfasts since 1960, and their commitment to a welcoming atmosphere is evident as soon as you step inside. On my Monday morning visit, I was seated immediately upon arrival, which was a pleasant start to my experience. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. My server arrived promptly, offering to take my order right away or give me more time if needed.
I ordered a basic breakfast of eggs and sausage with fruit on the side, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The meal felt like a homemade breakfast in the best way—comforting, well-prepared, and satisfying. The biscuit was perfect, with just the right texture, and the apple sausage was amazing, packed with flavor.
As I looked through the menu, I did notice that prices seemed a bit high for what was being offered. Additionally, the menu leaned heavily toward large, hearty meals, with fewer options for smaller portions or health-conscious choices.
While the atmosphere didn’t quite match the warm, homey experience described on their website—possibly due to this location being attached to a hotel—the food absolutely did. The quality and flavor of my meal reflected the restaurant’s long-standing commitment to made-from-scratch favorites.
Overall, if you’re looking for a classic diner-style breakfast with friendly service and well-prepared food, Elmer’s is a solid choice. Just be prepared for slightly higher prices and a menu that caters more to traditional, hearty appetites.
The coffee was fair, but then again, I’m kind of a coffee snob. Also had orange juice. It came with pulp and tasted like freshly made.
The service was attentive and food was delivered quickly.
We come here whenever we visit our cousins and stay in the same hotel.
How cool is it to walk from your hotel, Four Points by Sheraton, to this awesome restaurant?
I had the cinnamon roll pancakes, and it was scrumptious.
Our waiter was awesome, and everyone had a smile on their faces that said, “I love working here.” I am big on customer service, and this is surely a huge factor of good management.
