The ONLY reason I am only giving 4 stars for the “service” is because of the very young lady that greeted us at the front door and walked us back….she was a pretty curt with us and acted like she was seriously inconvenienced by our presence and annoyed that we were there. Sort of put a damper on the beginning of the visit, but we managed to forget about it and enjoy our visit. Besides that, everything else was absolutely 5-star!
The service was exceptional! Our server was on top of all of our needs. Thorough explanation of all of the items on the menu.
I had the Banana Nut Old Fashioned was incredible! I wasn’t sure if I would like it but it did not disappoint!
We had the pork belly as an app. The server let us know it was a very salt forward dish. She was not wrong! Good thing I like salt.
I had the pork chop. It had amazing flavor!
We will definitely be returning!
Visited the other night with family for a few drinks in a cool environment because it’s the only speakeasy I can find on the west side of Phoenix.
Two out of four drinks were very good and the other two were bland.
We were not fans of the Mezcal special and espresso martini because they didn’t have much taste or complexity.
The Negroni and basil gin special were much better.
The environment was very cool looking and the service was hit or miss. We showed up an hour before they closed and it seemed like they were treating the situation as if we showed up 10 minutes before close.
However, when I reached out to management to share our experience, they took the constructive criticism and shared that they are wanting to improve based off of what I shared. Very respectful and professional.
Overall, I think this place has a lot of potential.
Strongly recommend for west siders looking for an upscale restaurant that we normally have to travel for.
