Absolutely amazing dinner, and a wonderful spot to have our anniversary dinner!! When we arrived, we were a little early so our table was not yet ready, and the servers at the door made sure we had a menu to look over, water to start, and even grabbed our drink orders while we waited for a seat.
The folk in “our” table took a bit longer than they had anticipated it sounded like, but they found us spots at the bar and got our drinks made fresh and perfectly! We barely waited and had time to soak in the decor before our seating, and it wasn’t long before we placed our starters and another round of drinks. The vibe was nice, and very local. The owner (I assume XD) was out and about, stopping with tables, serving wine and apps, and th servers made us feel very welcome.
It was a crazy night, but we got our orders in and had plenty of good conversation prior to our food arriving. And when it did, let me tell you we were speechless! The food was gorgeous, tasted delicious, and for the evening’s event, felt right.
10/10, would love to come back again for future celebrations.

Close to Air b n b we stayed at 2 short block walk. Looks like a house on the outside. Creatively decorated inside. Busy-need to call for reservations, we were squeezed in for a 6:15 spot

Had a pretty great experience here! One of my favorite meals is martini, Caesar, and fries and this place nailed it! So simple but perfect when done right! Hubby got an entree with eggplant that was memorable good. Friendly bar service. Funky details! Worth the money!

We came in for my moms birthday and really wanted to love it. The cocktails were amazing and the wine list is fun. The host was so friendly while we waited for our table. Unfortunately, once we sat the service was essentially non existent. The food was very average, especially for the high price. Wouldn’t go back for dinner but loved the overall atmosphere for a round of drinks.

Its okay, but don’t go there when the bartenders wife comes in to eat. You’ll be a lower priority, she’ll get served your entree even though she ordered after you, she’ll not have to wait to get a drink, you will. All the staff will focus on her and ignore everyone else. I’m sure she had a great night.

Lovely experience eating at Westside Tavern last night. My husband and I split a bottle of wine, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. We were actually too full to order dessert after that. The appetizers (cauliflower, frites) and short ribs were 10/10! I got the Duck and it was delicious, the flavor profile 10/10, cooking technique 8/10 – the rice for the risotto was a bit crunchy (undercooked rather than al dente), and the fat of the skin on the duck was not fully rendered so it a bit rubbery instead of crispy. I’m a classically trained chef so I’m just a little bit more particular about that stuff, I’m not sure other people would have noticed. Our server was lovely, and the atmosphere inside is great. Will definitely come back.

I had a really excellent dinner at the West Side Tavern.
You can choose to sit inside or outside. They have a bunch of tables outside that have their own tent around it with heaters – so it’s enjoyable if you prefer privacy.
For starters, the Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower are very tasty – with a nice kick.
I can also highly recommend the Caesar salad, the lamb chops, and the steaks.
Oh, and if you are into Bourbon, they have a fantastic selection in the cabinet next to the bar. None of them are on any menu so you have to go up and find the one you want and ask.
Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

The owner stopped by and chatted with us which enhanced the experience. Food was fantastic as usual. Halibut special was, indeed, special. Loved the whole experience.

I didn’t realize customer service now includes playground insults when someone doesn’t hand out automatic 5 stars.
If you can only handle praise and throw a tantrum over anything under 3 stars, maybe the problem isn’t the customers. Reviews aren’t participation trophies… they’re reflections of real experiences.
