I was served and that was it. The waitresses never came back to fill my water, or ask if I needed ANYTHING… they never gave me my check, nothing. So, I finally asked one waitress about the bill and she said go up front. I said okay, but I want my leftovers to go, she looked confused, I then said, should I get the containers myself too. She actually said, “yes, go get the containers you need…” So I did. My hands were not washed (after I ate) and I grabbed the containers and they would not pull apart, so I put them back after handling the whole row. I bent some of them in attempts to pull them apart. I am sure the Health Department would have an issue with this. I was the only person that was told to get my own containers in that restaurant. Very strange.
Now. I will say the food (not drink) was good, not great. Customer service was horrible. I then had to wait several more minutes to pay my bill bc now they act like they dont see me waiting to pay my bill, and the person standing near the register when I first walked up took off in back… . It was full after 9p.m. on a Friday (not a big place)… Also, some woman who came in was waiting for a long time. She was getting frustrated also. Legend has it she’s still waiting.
I have eaten pho before and this is in the middle as far as taste goes. My favorite place for pho is Devangs off 19th Ave. It’s delicious and they have better customer service, and a much larger menu, and more seating… You should try it there. I definitely recommend it.
If Camelback Pho in Phoenix can not seat people in a timely manner, and serve them properly, then they need more servers who have time or even care to do their job properly. Come on, waitressing is not that difficult, but is is an art of sorts, a bit of a talent if you will; and those who do it well should get tipped well. People who are willing to spend money (over pay) for food these days should be treated better.
I’ll never go back to this restaurant again.
Personally, I don’t like to do the waitresses job. What ever happened to the server boxing your food for you? No server even boxes the food anywhere now, they just hand you the container. Well, not this place, it’s worse here.
If a server boxed my food properly as is there job to do I would tip better. Why tip if they don’t care to do a good job for THE CUSTOMER
