Have been here many times but this is definitely the last. Last time ordered a watermelon margarita and it came with a strawberry. We asked if it’s watermelon why does it have a strawberry? Server insisted it was watermelon. It was not. It was strawberry.
Despite this we returned and the experience was much worse.
We wanted to sit outside and were given a table by the door. We asked to be away from door and were told that was the last dry table.
We asked for one to be wiped off, it had rained. We were told it would be at least 5 minutes because she had to seat people first.
When we questioned why it would be 5 minutes for a table to be wiped while seating other people the hostess got an attitude. The manager didn’t give a damn.
No problem we had a nice meal and drinks at another Mexican restaurant-casa grande Cocina and margaritas

I always have a great experience at the Village Square location. My favorite waitress is Fabi. She always smile and get me and whomever I’m with exactly what we order. She repeats it back to clarify and confirm. Them drinks always get me where I need to be. The food is ALWAYS SEASONED. The cost is very affordable and the portions match. I love it here.

Wow, I wish this place was about a thousand miles closer to my house. Each person in our family ordered something different, and we got to try a lot of different things. Everything was amazingly delicious!

The chips and salsa were very fresh and tasty. The taco salads tasted great as well. The chimichangas weren’t exactly what I was expecting, but that does not diminish how good they were.

They do have a much hotter hot sauce available, which I didn’t think tasted as good as the regular salsa but was still pretty hot. For heat reference, it was significantly hotter than pureed jalapenos but less than pureed habaneros. I prefer the taste of Carolina Reaper or habanero based salsas, but their hot sauce did offer a good bit of kick. They all have a much brighter taste which I prefer. If you are not a spice person, don’t worry. This is a sauce you have to request specifically and the regular sauces are much less potent.

The servers fast, friendly, and attentive. I really like the atmosphere of the place. There’s a lot of room comment and it’s very easy to visit with your friends in this place while you share a great meal together.

Highly recommend this place if you like Mexican or Tex-Mex! We would love to visit again next year!

Renne is fantastic, ask for him at the bar. The “street” tacos are huge and delicious. Al pastor and their chicken/chorizo/pineapple tacos are amazing.

Yesterday 2/14/2026 valentine day my last day going to this restaurant this location. My third bad experience with this place. The food taste is terrible, I order fajita chicken steak and shrimp and all came out like a small pieces even if you use your fork you can’t get it from the plates and no vegetable maybe two or three pieces of bell pepper and the steak is too hard and the rice is very hard and cold beans.the amount of the food is too small for what we usually get. You can tell how they change you more money for less food, the food amount keeps going down and the price goes with terrible food. I promise I won’t eat there anymore me and my family.
And the service is terrible too, you can see the Waiter only when he bring the food and next time when he ask you, how is the food and the last time you’ll be looking for him you need your check and he hiding somewhere for 1015 minutes

It is so hot out and refreshing ceviche is the only way to combat that. This one has a good kick to it, so be prepared. This is my first time having it at Peppers and i highly recommend it.

Hungry,we decided to try Peppers. Upon entering, I was surprised at thinking, this place may serve an authentic meal. We were seated quickly and ordered. The kitchen was a little slow, but the waitress stopped by to give an update. Our wait was in no way excessive and soon our meals arrived. The enchiladas were hot, flavorful, full of chicken, and had just a slight hint of heat. Three enchiladas with rice, beans and a salad, was a substantial serving. I put a good dent in it, but carried one enchilada home to enjoy later! I’m so happy we decided to stop here for a late lunch and I look forward to returning for another delicious and authentic meal soon.

Would give 0 stars for service. Went on 12/2 for dinner. By self, sat at bar. Several people behind bar yet not acknowledged for several minutes. Was fortunate there was a menu close so I was able to start looking at that.
Worse part though, was paid bill, and once I received statement someone added an additional $5 to my signed paid receipt. This is theft, and no one I work with or locally I know will see how they stole. I will not call nor return. To many good restaurants I have frequented to spend my money at without going there!

THEE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN TALLAHASSEE
– word to me.
I’ve tried every Mexican restaurant in town.
I like a couple of other ones but PEPPERS – I had to ask for the manager and tell him I loved the food. Sometimes I feel like they all taste the same and nothing really stands out but peppers was so good, me and my girl went about five times so far. The first time, I remember, every dish we had HAD FLAVOR. I had the chicken soup, fajitas with the pineapple, rice n beans, etc, even the rice n beans I enjoyed. Highly recommend .
I’m getting hungry just writing this review.

Indoor and Outdoor seating

This place has always been one if my family’s go-to spots for after Church. We came here today and we feel the quality has dipped. We kind of sensed that before we walked in due to the parking lot not being as packed as usual. We came in today and while our waitress was nice she couldn’t hear that I was asking for a napkin because she had an airpod in one if her ears. When I finally got her attention, I had to repeat the word napkin five times. My grandma ordered the enchiladas with grilled chicken. When she got her food, I looked at her plate and there were only about ten pieces of chicken in her food. It also looks like since they have hired younger people, the quality of the whole place has drastically declined. My moms friend said that with all these college age kids working here now, they just leave toilet paper on the floors in the bathrooms. Also, please be careful when you walk. The floor is as slippery as a skating rink (not literally but just to give you an idea).
