Since 1984, Ambala Restaurant Glasgow has proudly served Glasgow with one simple belief:
Quality Without Compromise.
Founded by our visionary grandfather, Dr. Mohammad Khan, Ambala was built on honesty, purity, and service to the community.
What makes us different?
• We operate our own butchery – A-Grade fresh meat daily
• We never use frozen or day-old meat
• Fresh vegetables selected every morning from our trusted neighbours at Kashmir Carry
• Whole spices ground in-house
• Every dish cooked fresh from scratch
• No base curries. No shortcuts. No compromises.
For 41 years, the same family has served the same purity.
We are not here to be the cheapest.
We are here to be the finest.

Fish was good, karahi was average. Portion size good. Staff good too.
Not slightly but very expensive relative to other good places.
Seriously need to revamp their charges.
20£ for a 1/2 kg karahi, and 2£ for a chapati? Very disappointed.
Congested sitting, customers or staff hitting your back and chair while going between tableschairs
Butter chicken was melt in the mouth tendee and juicy with a creamy buttery sauce. Khari Ghosht was the star of the show. Plenty of lamb tender to the.point of just falling and flaking away. Just the right texture and spice with perfwvt seasoning. Tbh I am not getting paid for this reveiw, I just had to share what a wonderful evening with a big family gathering where even the most fussy of us enjoyed. Well done 5 * all the way.
I bought a takeaway of two Seekh Kebabs with Nan, on Friday 6th March 2026.
The nan was dry and hard and the Seekh kebabs were rotten, and full of animal fat (churbi).
After eating, I had severe food poisoning and couldn’t sleep all night due to vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain.
I recommend that no-one buys food from this place.
