Sumptuous Japanese food. We ordered Beef short ribs, pork gyoza and Mabo Tofu. All were delicious and elegantly presented. I especially like the short ribs – tender and really tasty.

We came up from Sydney to eat here would happily do it again – the food was incredible! Sashimi was some of the best I’ve ever had, incredibly fresh and big portions of both sashimi and chicken karaage. The highlight was definitely the banoffee gyoza – would come back just for this! Our server was also so lovely (didn’t catch her name but she had a nose piercing), very friendly and accommodating when we needed to change our reservation time last minute. Can’t wait to come back!

This felt like such an authentic taste of Japanese cuisine. We had the tasting banquet for two, and didn’t we try some dishes! We couldn’t get over the simplicity and yet complexity of each bite. And the staff were absolutely lovely and happy to help in any way.

Absolutely incredible dining experience at Nagisa! The service was warm, attentive, and genuine from start to finish. Every dish we tried was a standout!!! The sashimi was incredibly fresh, the temaki and wagyu were perfectly prepared, and the desserts were next level. Highly recommend the apple pie fried dumpling, banoffee fried dumpling, and the refreshing yuzu sorbet. Every bite was a 10/10. Can’t wait to come back!!!

My wife shouted me a birthday lunch at Nagisa while we were in Newcastle.
It is situated right on the water and has a view of the port.
We had salted Edamame for starters then spicy tuna, and also scallop temaki.
Followed by signature pork Gyoza and chicken Kara-age, with a shared Yuzu sorbet dessert.
The pan fried Gyoza were very nice but much the same as many other places but the Kara-age was very very good as was the rest of the dishes. Service was very good and serving sizes was sufficient but not overly generous.
Well worth a visit and tasty food but make sure you have a generous budget (or an open one) if you want to have a go at a lot of the menu.

Food was delicious and service was exceptional! First time dining here for dinner and was definitely impressed . I ordered a variety of dishes to try each had their own unique taste . We were that full we couldn’t finish all our food so definitely were full and satisfied. Price for dishes were reasonable.

We really enjoyed the food here it’s a bit more expensive but the quality of the sashimi and food was delicious. Everything tasted great and received professional service. If you want refined japanese food this is the place! The drinks menu has quite the selection and such a nice spot too.

We decided to try Nagisa for our date night, and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing, especially the Hiramasa Kingfish Carpaccio, Wagyu Striploin, and Beef Tataki. Loved the Pork Gyoza too. The miso carrots were also great, though a bit on the sweeter side. While the prices are slightly on the higher end, the quality justifies it—everything was incredibly fresh. The waitstaff was very attentive, and the overall service was excellent. I’d definitely visit again next time I’m in Newcastle.

Went to Nagisa for a birthday dinner on a Friday at 5.30. Booked beforehand. Service was lovely, staff were friendly. Solid meal and left feeling satisfied.

The Chilli Edamame, Red Miso Soup, Nagisa Pork Gyoza, Nasu Dengaku were so yum.

Chicken Kara-age was good. Nasu Mabu Tofu was mid, put it down to personal taste but was not for us.

The dessert Banoffee Gyoza was a perfect way to finish off the meal.

Banquet is always terrific! There were 4 of us. Several courses, lots of variety and you feel sated and happy, not overly full.
Food is excellent quality guaranteed.
Cocktails are nxt level, check out the smoked old fashioned, pricier than standard cocktail but the flavour and theatre is well worth it!
Looking forward to Summer banquet on 14/11 for our BFF birthday for two. Have heard amazing things about sashimi tacos!!! Keen to try..
