I would like to start by saying that the two stars is only for the employee. She was so kind and helpful and I honestly have missed this type of customer service. However, the last time I had halal guys was probably two years ago and now, it tastes so much different. It doesn’t even taste like meat and chicken anymore. It taste like I’m eating highly processed high fat food. It taste nothing like Gyro/Shawarma. I don’t know which one— beef or chicken— but it made me sick to my stomach and frankly, I don’t think I will be eating halal guys anymore. The only thing I appreciate about this restaurant is that it’s Halal and their customer service is really well, or at least the lady who helped me on Friday night was a complete sweetheart. Do better Halal Guys!

The food is ready quickly and the order accuracy is typically on point. The French fries are TO DIE FOR when properly salted. The baklava can be better – it’s too wet with honey but still very tasty. It’s a healthy meal that I try to get once a week. Good stuff, great staff!

Quality control and customer service here is so bad, it’s ridiculous. I ordered a platter plus a family meal. They were supposed to give me 12 white sauce and 7 hot sauce, they gave me 2 of each. There was no onions and green pepper for my family meal, and no pita bread for my platter. It’s all over the place. They don’t check before giving it to me, and when I called them after I got home, they didn’t offer me anything at all to compensate me for their mistake. I had to go back to get what was missing, and they offered nothing at all. Imagine your family is waiting for the food, and then everyone is disappointed by all that was missing.
Also I feel corporate is making bad decisions like making the hot sauce not hot anymore. Before 3 drops was all I needed for 1 platter, and now I use the entire packet, and it’s not spicy. Might as well use my own hot sauces. It’s so bad.

I waited in line for my online order at pick up behind someone else as the cashier/food server helped him first but then the server walked away from me to help a female walking in placing an order. As i had had to wait for both of them in front of me, the server offered extra sauces to both of them but when she gave me my online order not only did she not offer me extra sauces, she just gave me one small single hot sauce packet. Then when i drove home and took out my $100 order out of the two bags, it was incorrect.

We went here after a night at the beach. I had this before in SF but still wanted to check this one out. I got the combo platter with chicken and beef. I saw some complaints on here about the portions but I’ma a big dude and it was definitely enough for me. My wife got the sandwich and fries. Everything worked out. I would return if in the area.

Disappointing Drop in Quality – Cold, Stale Food & Missing Sauce
I’ve been a fan of The Halal Guys for a while, but my last order was deeply disappointing. The quality of the food has taken a serious nosedive, to the point where I don’t think I can recommend it anymore.
The food—the meat and rice—was not just lukewarm, it was cold. It tasted like it had been sitting out for a long time, leading to a truly stale and old flavor and texture. This is a huge letdown, as their food is supposed to be served fresh and hot.
To make matters worse, the order was incomplete: the sauce was missing. The iconic white and hot sauces are what make The Halal Guys’ platters what they are, and without them, the meal was incredibly dry and bland.
If this is the new standard, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Generous portions! I recommend to pay $4 more to extra meat, and I also recommend to wait to say extra meat AFTER they have already put the first layer of meat. Restaurant was very clean and staff were quite kind.

Tasty! The carts in the east coast load the platters more. The price went up as well, the price is 13.50 now in 4/23. But the food was very good
