As long as businesses want to put up signs trying to avoid pennies or cash, I will never use them. I hope more people don’t. We have laws that require you to use legal tender and have the ability to do so. Please stop using business that use these underhanded tactics to build their bottom line over their reputation. Might as well just door dash and shut the buildings down. Going cashless will lead to jobs being lost. They either do not understand outs or do not care.

Popeyes is a go-to for reliable comfort food. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, mashed potatoes with gravy, and coleslaw. The sandwich was great, though the sides were just okay this time.
I was looking forward to trying the new fried pickles and ordered them at the speaker, but they didn’t make it onto my tab or into the bag. Still a solid meal, though!

I’ve got to give major kudos to the 54th Street Popeyes! Ever since the manager from the 28th St & Breton location came over, the difference has been night and day. The restaurant is spotless — no sticky floors, no mess — just clean and welcoming. The food has been consistently fresh, hot, and exactly what you hope for when you pull up craving Popeyes. And the staff? They actually greet you with professionalism and a friendly attitude.

It feels like a completely new vibe in the best way possible. Great job to the team and leadership — the improvements are definitely noticeable!

Ordered 4 chicken sandwiches, only got 3; this has happened TWICE before.
Also ordered a 12 piece that had NOTHING but small pathetic looking pieces. The coleslaw was NOT the original, it tasted like a weak tasting cheaper version.
Probably won’t be going back to this Popeyes for a while. IF I do I’ll probably just order chicken sandwiches, hopefully they’ll EVENTUALLY get that right. They might wanna learn from KFC! Quality costs you customers.

I’ve been going to this place for 3 years and I’ve held off making this review during that time due to my mixed experiences here. Rule of thumb, if you come here and the person who takes your order is rude, your food is gonna slap. If you come here and the person who takes your order is pleasant, your food is definitely going to be screwed up. I’ll give you some examples, one time I ordered a ghost pepper sandwich meal, got home and the sandwich was absolutely drenched in mayonnaise and that was pretty much it, mayonnaise and pickle. Absolutely disgusting. Another time my wife ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with cheese added, she got a regular sandwich with added bacon. Another time I ordered a 5 piece spicy tender with mashed potatoes and got rice and beans, which I didn’t even know was on the menu. Today I ordered a 5 piece spicy tender with mash and Mac n cheese, drove home to find that it was a 3 piece. I did call and get my other tenders but it shouldn’t be a guessing game if you’re going to get what you ask for. I absolutely love food and I love popeyes but I will personally no longer be going to this location. If you do decide to come here be THAT GUY and double check all of your food before driving home.

Ordered online and pulled up to the drive through to pick up. Service was fast. You can’t go wrong with the classic crispy chicken sandwich with extra pickles.

When dining at a national restaurant chain, what’s the greatest thing that distinguishes one location from another?

In my experience the most meaningful answer to that question is service and professionalism – terms that exemplify this Popeye’s location (with a particular nod to the pleasant, professional service delivered by Kayla – she’s a phenomenal representative of the Popeye’s brand).

Plus the fried chicken with a large side of red beans & rice were delicious as well.

My first time ever ordering at this Popeyes and the food tasted really great. My only complaint was after waiting almost 15 minutes in the drive thru before getting to order- we received another person’s order when we finally got to the pickup window. I always check my food before leaving so that’s how I realized the mistake. We had to then parked in front of the building waiting for almost 30 minutes before an employee finally brought out our correct order to us (chicken wasn’t ready, they said). Checked my food and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the tiny packet of fries- there was hardly any fries in the bag (about 10-11 fries) and I paid $3.29 for that? Unacceptable. It was smaller than a typical small fries at any other restaurant. After all that waiting I was so disappointed. Was looking forward to having it after almost 2 years of not having any Popeyes.

Cant get an order right to save their life. If you try to do anything that requires a little thought or effort (like order 6 pieces of one flavor of wings, and one of another, wooh S000 hard!) they do something else. Wack, id just avoid this place. Every time ive ordered on doordash they got the order wrong except once, when i ordered 2 spicy chicken sandwiches. The food is generally pretty good, but not worth the bad service. My last order i ordered 12 wings and they only gave me 6, and the wings they gave me were pathetic.

Got a pretty big order this time and unfortunately every one of our pieces of chicken looked and tasted underdone. Part of the batch was spicy and part of it wasn’t so that leads me to believe somebody did it intentionally to save on time during the rush. Mashed potatoes and biscuits were great though.
