We were looking for a French breakfast restaurant our first morning in New Orleans, and I am so glad that Izzat’s popped up in Google maps. It was a short walk from Maison Dupuy, and it was exactly what we were hoping for! The owners are so warm and hospitable, the decor is beautiful, and the food is exquisite! My stomach was a little rough from early indulgence, so I opted for the avocado toast. It was the BEST avocado toast I have ever had! The grilled the giant piece of baguette perfectly, which added to the complexity and deliciousness of all of the fresh toppings. Yum! Our daughters loved the crepes, both savory and sweet, and my husband enjoyed eggs three ways: Florentine, benedict, and sardu. The cappuccino was also delicious. Next time we definitely want to try to the Croque Mademoiselle and Croque Masseur, or maybe the Monte Cristo. So much yum, so little time! It really felt like we were back in a cafe we visited in France! Highly recommend!

What a fantastic experience at Izzat! A friend of a friend recommended, and boy are we glad we came! Some of the truly best French food we’ve had in many years – everything from the French onion soup and the moules frites (seriously had to restrain ourselves from licking the plate!) to the croque monsieur, French dip, and the steak frites was just absolutely fantastic! Quality bread also.
And the dessert crepe (strawberry and banana, big enough to share for four good eaters!) was off the charts good as well. Great coffee drinks as well, and they offer decaf. And good cocktails to boot!
Come here, and come here often! This is a French Quarter gem that we need to keep around.

Absolutely delicious. What a wonderful place. We stumbled upon it and are so glad. We will be back. The food is amazing. The drinks are original as well as classic. There’s something for everyone. They offer to open your own BYOB as well. Coffee. Tea. Blue Moon pitchers as well. The real draw is the true French flavor here in the French Quarter. Fabulous. Our server was a sweet and wonderful young woman who was ready for our every need. We will be back!!

We recently visited Izzat, a charming new addition to the Nola food scene that opened just about five months ago, and it was absolutely delectable! The atmosphere is wonderfully inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed and high-quality meal.
The food was the highlight of our visit:
Eggs Sardou: The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, served over a rich and flavorful bed of spinach and artichoke. It came with a lightly toasted baguette that had just the right amount of crunch.
Eggs Benedict: A classic done right, paired excellently with a refreshing Blue Moon.
Latte: Smooth, creamy, and the perfect companion to the Eggs Sardou.
If you are looking for a fantastic brunch or meal in New Orleans, I highly recommend stopping by this gem. The quality of the dishes and the charming vibe make it a must-visit!

Hidden gem!! We’re so glad we stumbled upon Izzat. The food, service, and atmosphere are superb. We started with calamari and Brussels sprouts that were both delicious, then for our main course, I had the monte cristo and it was perfection, my husband had the French dip sandwich that was garlicky heaven, and our son had the steak fritta and it was so flavorful and tender. This little gem is definitely worth visiting and we’re so glad we found it and will make this a must-visit on our NOLA trips.

It was a such a nice feeling to be greeted with a smile that has been present throughout our entire dining experience.
As a big plus, not only the atmosphere was cozy and friendly, but also the food lived up to our expectations.
We have had the Brussels sprouts which were perfectly crispy and covered with the right amount of balsamic and Parmezan, and we couldn’t have left without trying the French onion soup which was also very flavourful.
As main courses we chose the Steak and fries with the French dip, and again, I couldn’t help but eat all the fries. They had such a good crisp and flavour, excellent. The steak was cooked and tasted as expected. And the chicken salad was seasoned perfectly and the chicken itself was very tender, juicy, covered in a slightly sweet marinade with the caramelised onions were just the perfect combination to my taste.
In addition to the salad there was also a crunchy, homemade style slice of bread which is balancing the salad on point.
Highly recommended

If you want to get away from the tourist traps of bourbon street and pay a reasonable amount of good food, this is the place. Very authentic cafe vibes and incredibly kind/attentive staff. I swung by during a work trip.
I had the French onion soup to start, which was great and not too heavy. For my main, I had the steak frites – pretty significant portion. Finally, I dove in before taking a picture, I had the homemade crème brûlée which was great.
Absolutely stuffed.

Went here with two teenagers in Feb 2026, wanting to have great food but casual atmosphere- this place was perfect! Great steak, salad, Brussels sprouts, French onion soup, and dessert. Every single thing we ordered was great! Easy to get in and price was also great considering the quality. Highly recommended!!!

We stopped here by chance and absolutely loved all foods we ordered. We had beef dip, Burger, roast chicken and the highlight of all which was Eggs Sardou…. Delicious, clean and friendly service Excellent food.
Also the house red wine was smooth and light. Great for lunch!
The seating and ambiance could benefit from some upgrades so keep your expectations in check but the food definitely worth it.
