My mom ordered a chocolate pie and a pecan pie for Thanksgiving, and they did not disappoint! Everyone we spoke to was so sweet over the phone, and pickup was super easy. Now the pies… AMAZING!! So creamy, and this is the first time I’ve ever eaten the crust from a bakery pie. We’ll definitely be using this place again in the future. Don’t change a thing about your recipes — absolutely delicious!

Absolutely delicious! The kahuku with chicken and all the sauce options is so good. The cream filled croissant is pretty and tasty! We had tried their food back in 2019 and I became obsessed. I was super happy to find they opened a bakery, but still offered some food choices. So good for lunch! I’d like to go back to grab fresh sourdough and chicken salad.

We were on our way back to Houston so stopped here and got the chocolate mousse, sourdough bread and raspberry shortbread cookie – the cookie was okay didn’t seem too fresh. Mousse was good and their sourdough seemed fresh and good. There was a short line. I think a fresh paint and a deep clean would be a good idea just to make the bakery more appealing.

Great concept and friendly staff. The smash burger was really good… fries, not so much… they were frozen fries and we expected fresh since it’s a “scratch” kitchen.
Chicken fried rice was good, but a little plain on flavor… Chips and queso were amazing with homemade thick, made in-house chips.
Hawaiian pie was good.

We’ve loved Irie’s for decades now. Thrilled they still offer lunch items. The fried rice and Kahuku are amazing and the sauces make it even more fabulous. This was the first trip we tried the bakery items since they became the Island Bakery. They were very good! The gluten free peanut butter item (I can’t recall the name) was delicious! My husband liked the chocolate chip cookie. We were 8 hours away from home and two hours away from Port A and decided to make the trip for lunch. So glad we did! Going to make a long trip back home a little bit longer, but it’s always worth it!

Based on reviews, I was really hopeful for a great experience, but we must’ve hit an off night. We arrived at 7pm, grabbed a table and was able to order by 7:15pm. While we were waiting for food. I was noticing how incredibly messy the floor was inside. Customers were deciding whether to sit at tables that were cleaned off but had a mess of food and trash underneath, never touched during the whole 1.5hrs we were there. We didn’t get our food until right before 8pm. The food was pretty mediocre. The garlic shrimp “big taco” was neither big nor garlicky. The grilled shrimp had already gone cold. The sauce on the side was supposed to be butter and garlic but didn’t taste that way. If anything, my son’s grilled cheese had toasted bread that was more buttery and garlicky than my taco. The grilled tuna in the other taco had very little seasoning and sat underneath a salad. My wife’s coconut shrimp tacos was reportedly ok but the fried coconut batter would just fall off the shrimp. For a 45 min wait on the food, it was incredibly disappointing. The best meal was my son’s grilled cheese, tbh. The fries that came with the kid’s meal were pretty good too.

Delicious food. Friendly staff. We tried a variety. I ordered the Krakatoa Shrimp (big enough to share between me and my daughter), my daughter ordered the Garlic Shrimp taco (it wasn’t her favorite), youngest ordered nuggets (can’t go wrong there), and for appetizers we ordered Chicken Sate (delicious) and Dragon Queso (again can never to wrong with queso). Will definitely be back!

A little gem in Port A that’s worth a visit. On our visit to Port Aransas, we sampled a variety of their pastries. Their “Cruffin” is simply to die for and so delicious. I cannot recommend that delight enough! We also had their blueberry muffins, ham and cheese kolache, shortbread cookie, and chocolate hazelnut croissant. Everything was spectacular and delicious. Just scrumptious!
The customer service was spectacular as well and it’s just the cutest little bakery. They offer a variety of baked goods, cakes, and even lunch.
Make sure when you stop by, grab yourself a cruffin. You won’t be disappointed!

1 million miles on the road and these gotta be the best tacos I’ve ever had. I had to come back for one to go on my way home they were so good. The restaurant is clean & nicely setup + safe is very friendly. This place earns every bit of each star.

Food was great! I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have the chicken enchiladas, but whatever. The spring rolls were really good and the shrimp po-boy…. OMG!!! The shrimps were HUGE! The beinget we’re good, I usually like to dip them in chocolate but they didn’t come with any. Really the only down side to this place was it was SO loud in there. Not sure if it was the family with 3 screaming kids that was causing it all, or if it was a combination of things, but it also wasn’t a deal breaker. The menu is a little tough to read because of all the colors behind it, but I can deal with that, just a little tip in case they ever want to redo them. Can’t wait to go back and try the fried rice next time! Maybe then I’ll also be able to figure out where the door goes, or more importantly, how to get to it!
