Favorite: The pollo aldalco plate with the cilantro house sauce, my absolute favorite.

The food is delicious, very flavorful. The rice and beans are consistently very good here. The fajitas are a small portions for 1lb and the fajita plate for $20 doesn’t come on the cast iron comal and is lacking flavor. We don’t like the beef enchiladas here. It’s unusual for a mexican restaurant to charge for chips and salsa, but they do here. The chips and salsa are ok, it’s a roasted salsa.

Chocolate Martini is the bomb!

We love the outdoor patio when the weather is nice!

Manager was super rude. Fries were okay. Wish I had a little more considering this was almost $5. Usually their food is pretty good but I didn’t get a good experience this time around.

In a city with plenty of Mexican restaurants, this is always my “go to”. I love Aldaco’s! You can’t go wrong with any of the selections. The staff are always very helpful and friendly and I love their house frozen margarita. Nothing like spending a beautiful South Texas day on their patio with the great view. Always take out of town visitors here as well. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Food and service were both ok. We got the queso which was fine. The chips and salsa were ok since the salsa was too tame for our liking. The fajitas weren’t great. Probably won’t be back

Have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. So awesome they have a celiac menu! I was recently diagnosed with celiac and was bummed about how that would limit my options for dining out. Aldacos rocks this too! Delicious food and kind staff!

Great outdoor seating with a lovely view. The food prices aren’t outrageous actually and I saw on the menu they have weekday lunch specials and happy hour too.

The food itself didn’t blow me away, but I definitely ordered the wrong thing (the centerpiece- the best thing on this plate was the cheese lol). I liked the botana sampler and my family enjoyed their mmeals: el excluviso, camalazo, etc.

I wouldn’t go back out of all the great mexican places ive tried but it was a nice experience to see the skyline and enjoy the fall weather.

Great views, atmosphere and unique flare. Thanks to the many rave reviews, we decided to give Aldaco’s a try. We had a traditional and avocado margarita…they were both delicious!! For lunch had the Aldaco’s chicken and shrimp enchiladas. Very tasty. Service was great.

Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Very low key atmosphere, nice and chill for just talking or enjoying the great food. Red salsa was a bit too hot for my taste but the food had plenty of flavor. Had the fajita nachos and beef fajita plate. loved the borracho beans. There Guac is excellent and I don’t even like guacamole. Will definitely be going back.

First Visit to Aldaco’s Mexican Cuisine – A Memorable Family Experience

During a recent trip to San Antonio, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Aldaco’s Mexican Cuisine, and I must say—it was an experience to remember!

I ordered the spicy fajita platter, and it did not disappoint. The meat was incredibly tender and packed with bold flavor, perfectly complemented by the subtle kick from the chiles toreados. The dish came with fluffy rice and savory charro beans, both delicious in their own right and the perfect companions to the sizzling fajitas.

One of my family members ordered the chicken flautas, and after sneaking a bite, I can confirm they were just as impressive—crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

Although we didn’t leave room for dessert this time (a rookie mistake), we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Next time, we’re definitely saving space for something sweet, especially while enjoying the scenic views from the patio.

Until next time, Aldaco’s—cheers to great food and even better memories! ✌️

Food was fantastic, server was friendly and attentive, drinks were small but strong and really good. The views overlooking the valley are worth sitting on the patio if the weather is nice. Parking is not an issue. We will definitely be back.
