I ordered the Colorado combo and I’m disappointed. My meat loaf was raw but the sever insisted it wasn’t and said they use a thermometer to make sure but I don’t buy it. I also found a worm in my catfish which I know is a possibility when eating fish but I never have from any other restaurant. The meat loaf also had a pace salsa kind of taste and look to it. The black eyed peas were undercooked. I do recommend he fried pickles the rolls were great and the mashed potatoes were okay overall I am disappointed and unsatisfied not to mention we paid 70$ for disappointing food.

We were excited to see a BEP while on vacation. It’s been years since the one close to our area closed. I had the Thanksgiving turkey dinner, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy. My wife had the chicken fried chicken dinner.

We’ve eaten here several times, and it’s always good. Even our picky 9yo found something she liked. The service was great and the food came out quickly. The restaurant is clean and well lit without feeling clinical. There is plenty of parking, even if the lot is a bit bumpy. Overall very pleasant experience.

Everything was great except the wine glass was dirty I had to ask for a clean one. However overall I would say 4.5 stars.

Food is always delicious, customer service usually average, sometimes better. Today it was average up until a waitress grabbed a chair from our table for another group of customers without saying a word to us, no asking if we would mind or even saying she was taking it. I have a bad shoulder injury or any other time I would have had my purse attached to that chair with my car keys but I can’t stretch my arm that far yet so I set it on the table next to me. If my purse had been on that chair, I guarantee by the time I was finished chewing her out she would never grab another chair from a customers table! Even so it is completely disrespectful to grab something from another customers table without saying a word to those customers. It may have even been our waitress that did it, I was surprised by the audacity and unfortunately didn’t pay attention to who it was, but it will be a long time before I go in to that restaurant again, for the kind of money we have to pay at restaurants these days I certainly expect to not be treated disrespectfully!

My husband always calls this place OPF (old people food), and refused to go, but I made him go last week. The food was great! Even he enjoyed his meal and is willing to return again. The service was great and our server was very friendly. We’ll be back.

It was an amazing and very delicious visit! Everything eas perfectly cooked and we weren’t disappointed by a single thing. The server was super friendly too! Such a great atmosphere there and some super cool decor throughout. We ordered the Texas-sized Chicken Fried Steak with squash casserole/Mashed potatoes and gravy, Irish Pie (shredded pot roast and veggies soooo good!) with fried okra/fried corn on the cob (100% recommend!!!) The kids meals come with a cookie and they were super excited for their dessert after eating and of course them fresh never ending rolls with butter. All sooo delicious and we can’t wait to go back and try more things on their menu.
Excited to try dessert next time. We just got too full this visit.

They closed down the Black eyed pea in my state so I haven’t been to a Black eyed pea in about 20 years.
Let me say that it was every bit as good as I remembered!
They give you complementary rolls and butter. I was a little sad about them not giving the cornbread. However, I was happy to see they were offering skillet cornbread as an appetizer. It was the best cornbread I’ve had in my life. My daughter got the fried shrimp with fries and corn. Everything was hot and well seasoned.
I got the veggie plate: onion rings, salad, red beans and rice, glazed carrots, and apples. Everything tasted just like I remembered!

Dacia my waitress and was absolutely fantastic.. This was my first time to a Black Eyed Peas and Dacia had the chef make me a sample plate to try some of the most popular things before I ordered. So helpful!! Everything I got was fresh, hot, yummy and affordable
