Best BBQ I’ve ever had in Utah and some of the best BBQ I’ve had anywhere in the country. (And I’ve eaten alot of Texas BBQ) Really not sure they have any rivals between here and Texas. Try the Burnt ends, Hot links, Mac & Cheese, tater salad. We didnt get the wings because they were sold out, but I’ve heard they are amazing. Owner was incredibly hospitable and I can tell he tales great pride in his Craft!

This spot clearly has a lot going for it. The line was out the door before opening which was a good sign that this BBQ joint is popular and legit. The interior was modern, clean, and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, which made ordering a pleasant experience.

I ordered just under 2lbs of Turkey Breast, 1 Texas Sausage, 1 small container of Esquite. It fell just shy of $75 which is definitely on the higher end of what I was expecting to spend.

Overall I’d recommend it. It’s not necessarily budget friendly but if you’re craving good BBQ definitely swing on by.

Texas monthly branded: As a top 10 outside of Texas I expected more.

Cut man was using a dull knife and shredding the meat. Brisket-Bark was good but tasted like pot roast in the point. Flat was ok but didn’t “clap” when folded. Turkey was only available for catering so not able to try it.

Pulled pork is an Utah favorite and was good. Not tons of smoke flavor to it. Spare ribs had good flavor but weren’t fall of the bone. Links were premade not from in-house.

Jalapaneos, pickled onions were good. Sides weren’t made from scratch so a bit bland. No bread but they did have tortillas but was told that is extra.

Presentation was on point. Atmosphere was nice.

No fountain drinks- I was able to find a Dr Pepper in a can.

It’s worth trying. Sandwiches and other entrees are probably really good.

I paid $148 for what you see in the picture and would do it again for good bbq. Open 6 days a week is quite the feat. Congrats for delivering craft bbq so consistently.

Incredible experience. So worth the price! The best Texas BBQ I’ve had since I lived in Texas. Small enough menu to do everything insanely well. Service was stellar too. Could not have improved on our experience.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Pico Rica Restaurant, especially Olivia and Scott! From start to finish, they were absolutely incredible.

I was hosting a Valentine’s party, and since I’m not the best cook, I wanted to make sure the food was truly impressive and that I had plenty for everyone. Scott went above and beyond he paid attention to every detail, made sure he understood exactly what I wanted, and communicated so clearly throughout the entire process. I felt completely taken care of.

When Olivia stepped in to finalize and place the order, everything was seamless. I’m a busy person with a lot going on, and they handled everything so professionally that I didn’t have to stress about a single thing from delivery to presentation.

And the food… WOW. The mac and cheese balls were to die for, and the brisket literally melted in your mouth. The ribs were delicious. Every guest raved about it!

I highly recommend Pico Rica for catering or any food needs you may have. They truly made my event special, and I’m so grateful for their outstanding service and delicious food.

I really hate leaving such a harsh review, but Pico Rica’s prices are just too high for what you get. I stopped by during normal lunch hours, a little later in the lunch hour, but still very much lunchtime, and the place was completely empty, which honestly made sense once I saw the prices.

I ordered two tacos that were normal-sized but $7 each, for a total of $14. The tacos were okay, but very salty and a bit too juicy, so they fell apart and made a mess. I’d call them nominal overall, not terrible, but nothing special either.

What really got me was the cost of sides. I would’ve liked some chips and salsa or queso, but they wanted $9 just for chips and queso. If I had ordered that along with my two tacos, it would have been $23 (before tax) for one single lunch. That’s just too steep.

Living in the Southwest, there’s no shortage of Mexican restaurants offering more authentic flavors, larger portions, and much better value. I wanted to like this place, but between the pricing and the mediocre experience, I just can’t justify coming back.

If you’re visiting St. George, you have to stop here for lunch or dinner. The prices were great and the food was plenty! The brisket was amazing. We got the brisket esquites and absolutely do not regret it. It was a highlight of the dinner.

What are you doing with your life if you aren’t here eating some of the most incredible Texas-style smoked meats outside of the Lone Star State! This is a can’t miss spot of BBQ Nirvana in St. George, Utah. We followed the Texas Monthly BBQ Trail into the #7 spot outside of Texas. The sliced brisket was perfectly smoked and tender. We loved the Mole BBQ sauce with it. Serrano and Cheddar Sausage had a great flavor and snap. Burnt ends were just right. Don’t pass on their legendary smoked and then fried Chicken Sandwich or the Philly Cheese Steak with White Queso dipping sauce ! Service was phenomenal and we can’t wait to go back. What a meal!!

Probably amongst my top three barbecue places in all the country. I’ve had barbecue in Austin and Charleston, but this place in the little town of St. George is legit, and competes with places in those cities. definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.
