Service was a little slower at first, but then it got a lot better after I ordered. Everyone helps where they can. Food was good and you get A LOT of it for a really good price (according to CA standards of good priced). I was able to eat off this meal for about 2-3 days (with adding maybe eggs to compliment parts of what I had left). 10/10 would highly recommend.

We had a great experience at this classic diner with its nostalgic look and feel. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was wonderful—friendly and impressively prompt.
I ordered the chicken melt with avocado, Monterey Jack cheese, and sourdough bread, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly grilled and full of flavor. The bunless California burger was also a hit—fresh, satisfying, and well-prepared.
If you’re looking for a spot with great food, quick service, and that timeless diner charm, this place is definitely worth a visit!

1. We were at breakfast, breakfast portions are very large.

2. I ordered coffee ☕️, they served it with a carafe of milk. And later they came and asked if I wanted more coffee, they would have just topped it up. That’s great

3. We received our order quickly, despite the fact that there were a lot of people in the establishment.

Carol’s had the best turkey sausage I ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and hot! Blueberry pancakes were HUGE, but a bit plain. The service was great, and you can tell the waitresses and staff actually take time to build connections with their regulars!

This was our first time at this place—a clean, welcoming environment. However, there are two entrances to the restaurant. Each entrance has a sign to check in with the hostess, but that process needs improvement. We waited before I realized I needed to go to the other side, only because I asked. I ordered breakfast enchiladas, which were good. My husband’s corn hash was very bland; we will not order this again. We would come back to try other menu items, but overall, it was a good experience.

Nice local place. Has a real diner feel, everyone is very friendly and the servers know the regulars.

I recommend any of the Mexican food, or the French toast.

The place does get crowded on weekends which will affect powering and wait times.

Prices are normal/reasonable for a diner.

Ordered steak and eggs. Steak should have been medium rare. Was medium.
Home fries and eggs over easy were good but if you’re going to have to get steak because they ran out of pork chops, they’d better cook it right.
I don’t think (aside from the waitress and host) that I saw anyone under 55 in there.
Waitress was pleasant and quick with the check when I needed it. (My lunch is only 30 mins)

Very good cafe with home style cooking. Try their cherry pie when available, with house made whipped cream!! Serves only breakfast and lunch, which is a little disappointing as I wish they were open for dinner. My family often visits Carol’s and have not been disappointed. Their pancakes are very good!
