Same good taste, but smaller store. Store has been reduced to half the size. Not sure why…but another business is on the other half of wall from its original store. Can’t complain, this is the Original location, can’t get no better than where it started regardless.

A little pricey but most fast food is these days. A good variety of choices on burger styles and some non beef options like chicken and ham as well. Intrigued by the fried pickles and cheese sticks but that was too much food for today’s lunch visit. Great service and the restaurant was older but clean and well taken care of. Will definitely eat here again.

The burger was good but a bit messy, and the fries could’ve used more cheese. The staff was friendly, which I appreciated. However, the parking lot really needs cleaning and has potholes that should be fixed. The biggest downside was the price, almost $50 for two combo meals, which just doesn’t feel worth it. Culver’s is more affordable, has better flavor, and the environment is noticeably cleaner. Hippo Burger isn’t my go-to, but I’d consider coming back once in a while.

The tots were hot and crunchy, the eggvolution burger with cheese sauce- delicious plus horchata on tap! Also, loved the 50s diner vibe and tunes. Wish we lived close enough to visit more to try every sandwich on the menu.

This place is a true gym. This is the original location and the food was excellent. The drinks were sensational. They have agua, fresca and regular drinks so it was wonderful along with tea and other selections. It was a truly phenomenal experience and a great place for a date. Normally the work crew goes somewhere else for lunch but they ended up being closed today. We passed Hippo Burger and decided to try it. This is a diamond in the rough. Area is kinda shady so we weren’t sure, but of course I checked the reviews and they were surprisingly high. Y’all, the burgers/chicken sandwiches are huge and delicious. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I ordered the spicy fried pickles and they are probably the best I’ve ever had. Staff is very friendly. I will definitely recommend to my other coworkers. We were all pleasantly surprised.

We’ve gone to hippo burgers many times and loved it. Our most recent dinner outing there was a very bad experience. Everyone’s burger looked as if the meat was overcooked and had been sitting for a while… it was very dry and almost rubbery. Our fries tasted as if they were cooked a few times…. they weren’t burnt, but they were just a shell… hollow. I asked the cashier if they could remake my fries, they came out slightly better. I just didn’t eat them. I wasn’t too hungry so I had just ordered a basket of fries. Once we left, my family said their food was not good either, but didn’t want to complain. I’m not sure if their cooks changed, but you need to bring back the cook that made you the IT place again.

Great place for some hamburgers. The dining room was nice and clean and spacious. The staff were very nice and helpful. The prices were very reasonable especially when you consider the quality of the meal and overall portions. The hamburger size was what i would call on the large side and probably can share it amongst two people. Otherwise i bet you cant eat the whole thing. Very delicious hamburgers here and certainly will come back.

Been wanting to go here for years now. Been getting there coupons in the mail for the longest. Anyways the first time, I finally head here. Ordered the #3 (I believe, if I remember) I’ve been told that their burgers are big & greasy. Which is true, but the one thing I wasn’t told, was that their burgers fall apart in you hands. Still a great burger though. I’ll definitely be back.
