Covid restrictions are long gone, and now more than ever people are focusing on healthier eating. Bringing back the salad bar would give customers a fresh, lighter option alongside the fried favorites. Not everyone wants a heavy meal every time, and having that balance made Catfish King stand out.
It would be great to see Catfish King consider reopening the salad bar. It’s something loyal customers appreciated, and it would offer a healthier alternative that benefits everyone.
The Fish is always a flavor bowl and crispy. You should definitely try it if you haven’t. Another suggested might be get rid of the whipped bread for the hush puppies and bring back the butter.
The wait staff was very on top of everything and friendly.
Please be aware this is not “FRESH “ seafood but frozen then deep fried.so price does reflect this( you get what you pay for) think Captain D’s or long John silvers for better options, onion rings were great
Pinto beans were low, and lukewarm add jalapeno peppers for taste, salad bar had no lettuce , coleslaw was OK.
Sever was good even though they were short handed, poor guy was jumping through hoops .
A place to try once ( one and done)
Hot and freshly cooked .
We had the catfish, fries and hushpuppies with free salad bar and free drinks. (Senior special).
Salad bar was well stocked and lots of choices. Also big pot of beans.
Service was excellent!
Can hardly wait to visit again!
Thankfully, with the help of another location I reached corporate and spoke to senior leadership who assured they would investigate and address the matter and wholly apologized for how the matter was handled locally. They did explain that in processing sometimes things happen that can cause an off taste but that it is rare, is not a safety concern, and would not generally be served. It may simply have been a case of bad luck that 1 slipped the net as they say. Nonetheless, they assured me steps would be taken to review their inventory for food quality. I appreciate the responsiveness and assistance of the leadership team, very professional!
I do trust the corporate response which is why they have 3 stars overall as I do intend to visit again to reevaluate and update this review allowing time for corrective action to occur.
