Ordered the chips and guacamole with the steak burrito!

Less than 2minutes of sitting down, they bring my chips + salsa & guacamole! The salsa has quite a bit of a kick in heat, and the guacamole cools down the tastebuds and tastes like it has hints of lime and cilantro.

The main course: the steak burrito! You do have to pay 3$ extra for the steak, but it’s so worth it! Everything is nice and tender, I recommend with the pinto beans for the burrito… Everything is well balanced and cooked deliciously!

Thank you Oaxaca! I will return!!

Hands down the best Mexican food in the area. The Al Pastor, Tinga, and Chorizo are unbelievable. I’ve had a hard time trying multiple items on the menu because the Al Pastor burrito I got the very first time is so flavorful and addicting. Has the right amount of kick.

My family loves this place.

UPDATE: just got their homemade Horchata….i have no words. 1000000000/10 unreal good.

I believe everyone has their own spin on what makes a restaurant memorable. While I enjoy a wide range of eateries it’s the grounded, closer to homemade, street influenced foods that influences me the most, because they feel more authentic. It represent community and lifestyle in a way, whereas fusion is more experimental (still high on my list). I’ve been very fortunate to have traveled the world for work and personal, sharing tables with locals and attempting to immerse as much as possible and sample the culture. IMHO Oaxaca reflects the original intent. It reminded me of my years spent in Texas, time with friends from across the border. This food feels different than the average Mexican restaurant and even different than that which you’d find in Mexican resort areas. It’s simple, a low ingredient food count, just made great. Check out their Orchata too…wow. Anyways that’s my 2 cents. I think it’s worth a visit.

Quaint little Mexican spot found in the middle of a retail strip. Been here a few times in the past couple of weeks and tried something new each time. All (steak torta, shredded chicken tacos and steak burritos) have been tasty and more than I can eat in one sitting.

The young lady behind the counter has always greeted me with a polite demeanor and smile.

Need to bring the wife here to try out.

Highly recommend! The staff member who helped us was incredibly friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu and share some great recommendations. My boyfriend had the carnitas burrito and enjoyed it, but I have to say—I loved my steak burrito with added guacamole! It was absolutely delicious. The guacamole had a hint of lime (I think!), which complemented the flavors of the burrito perfectly. We also tried the horchata, which was very good as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Really good Mexican food in the Troy area.

Came for dinner with a few friends after hearing good things. The food really was excellent. The service was good overall as well.

They are a little disorganized but they are earnest and kind. The dining room is really small and we saw A LOT of people coming in and out for carry out. You can tell this is almost strictly a take out joint.

Overall we really liked it and I can see myself getting carry out in the future.

Some of the best tacos I have ever had. Ever.
Everything has been delicious, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and the prices for the portions you get are amazing! My boyfriend and I’s favorite new spot for Mexican food in the area as of lately. Definitely recommend this place a thousand times over ♥️
