Cafe Athens is Northern Colorado’s casual, yet classy, Greek restaurant. With two convenient locations (Front Range Shopping Center & the Promenade Shops at Centerra), Cafe Athens provides Fort Collins and Loveland residents with a delicious mix of American, Greek, and Mediterranean cuisine. Cafe Athens is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and serves a variety traditional Greek dishes like mousaka, souvlaki, falafel, dolmathes, baklava, gyros (a local favorite), and Greek-style salads and pizza. We love cafe Athens. We usually get just a meal but tonight we did an appetizer! I got the Sulviki Pizza and my husband got the Gyro meal. Our appetizer we got was the fiesty feta and chips! It was so good. The pita chips were good and the fiesty feta was hot to the touch but not as spicy as it looks. The fries are always my favorite they come hot and crispy. The pizza always is loaded with toppings and lamb is always delicious. My favorite Greek place in NOCO.

Excellent choices of my Greek favorites! Tender gyro meat, even better lamb souvalki platter, comes with a lovely Greek salad, and pita. Our family loves the sampler player for appetizers, or it’s enough to split for two for lunch. Don’t miss the Greek coffee and baclava for dessert, like mine extra strong!
Three men in our party and everyone left full. Don’t miss the Greek potatoes as a side. So good!
Excellent service and the restaurant is super clean.
Additional note: the chicken dishes are so tender. Tried one, and I’m not really a chicken lover, but I will reorder this chicken platter.

Food: We got the sampler plate for appetizer! The meat was packed with flavor and not too chewy. I loved the spanakopita, the pastry was amazing and the cheese filling was good. The baked pita chips were okay, but they were chewy and not as crispy as I’d have liked. I had the falafel gyro, I liked the tzatziki sauce, it had a good amount of sourness and refreshingness. I needed more falafels, they had only given me three, but they were delicious, crispy on the outside and spiced interior flavor. There was a lot of feta on it, maybe a bit too much for me. I had the pasta orzo for my side which was good, but sort of just tasted like tomato soup with orzo in it. The fries were good, very crispy, and good amount of salt! We had to try the baklava, because I love baklava, and this one did not disappoint, the honey was fully soaked into the phyllo pastry, and the middle section was good flavor too with the nuts.
Service: Our server was great, he was very attentive, and the food came out fast, and everyone seemed to be very happy working here.
Atmosphere: I liked the seating and the welcoming environment. The kitchen was visible to everyone which is always good to know. Not too loud here either but still busy.
Overall: Delicious!! I had a great time here and can’t wait to come back to try a few other things.

Fresh, flavorful Greek food that comes out of the kitchen fast, even when they’re busy. Portions are generous without feeling heavy, and everything tastes bright and homemade. The staff is genuinely sweet and welcoming, the kind of service that makes you want to come back before you’ve even left. A fantastic spot for a quick, delicious meal done right.

Oh my goodness what a lovely place to eat! My husband surprised me with a date night and took me here as part of it since neither of us had been before.
The staff were all so kind and helpful and observant. Drinks never ran out, didn’t get talked to constantly about how things are right after taking a bite and my husband and I were able to have a conversation across from eachother because the music and tvs were not so loud we couldn’t hear eachother or feel the need to have to yell our conversation. Everything looks so clean to boot! I hate that sticky feeling under your shoes or that grimey feeling on the chairs or booths…none of that here! The food was absolutely delicious! Very authentic! I remember a Greek Food place my Dad loved to frequent when we lived in Europe and this tasted like that! Our waitress even offered us to go cups for our lemonade and soda we were drinking that she made sure never ran out. I’ve never been offered to go cups for our beverages before but that was actually really nice to be able to take that with us as we carried on with our date.
10/10 absolutely would go here on a date or even with our children next time!
