The food is truly above average. The cheesesteak egg rolls are phenomenal. The barbecue meatloaf is awesome and the sirloin tips tender and juicy. Everything on the menu is good.

The food was ok. The pulled pork was ok. My GF said the burger was really good and had a wood fired taste that she liked. The other couple said the pizza was not hot, but the ahi tuna bowl was very good. Our server was great and kept things moving even though she was also making drinks. We would go back.

Food is good.. 6 cauliflower for $17 is really insane tho

EDIT: i did not order from a third party delivery service! I ordered this by calling your business and picking it up.. as i said 5-6 cauliflower for $17 is ridiculous!

Love the atmosphere. Very cozy and inviting. Service was great. Our waiter was on top of things and very attentive. Even the entrees were great. Food came out in a decent amount of time, presentation was good and food tasted good.

Only had two issues.. The bread that was brought to the table was cold. And my cookie and ice cream dessert that I ordered to-go was terrible. The cookie was inedible! It was rock hard even after 30 seconds in the microwave. The metal fork could not go thru it. Would have definitely liked my money back for the dessert but also didn’t feel like driving back after making it home.

The service was phenomenal and we had a great server named sydney, but the food was terrible. My friends burger was cold (I confirmed by touching the center, and it felt like it had been sitting for a while) so they took it and reheated it in the microwave I’m assuming… my chicken Caprese sandwich was dry and the chicken was burnt, making it inedible. We went around 8 pm, which I am aware is later in the evening, but no excuse for bad food when you close at 10. The bad food is not worth the price, very disappointing.

My niece in law chose this spot for lunch as it’s near to where she was staying in the area.

ATMOSPHERE:
Located in the Suburban Square complex, it’s a big space with a second floor loft, bars on both levels and an outdoor lanai covered in umbrellas. Movies are shown on the 2-story wall in the dining room though without sound.

MENU:
Bar style apps, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, flatbreads, pasta, seafood, rice bowls.

BEVERAGE:
All American Mule – $9.00
By far not the best I’ve had as there was too much ginger beer and not enough sweetness.

FOOD:
Focaccia Bread – complimentary
My least favorite bread was brought to life with their amazing chili parmesan olive oil dipping sauce. The best part of our meal.

Classic Caesar – $7.25
Light and tangy dressing, similar to California Pizza Kitchen’s version.

Jambalaya – $15.75 (lunch price)
Cacciatore, anyone? Because that’s what it tasted like. The shrimp was the highlight of the dish as they had a very good seared-taste yet weren’t seared at all. The rice was also mushy, boo!

Spaghetti Squash Mushroom Veggie Bolognese – $14.50 (lunch price)
I had a taste of the sauce from my spouse’s dish – Let’s just say if you choose vegetarian, it’ll have much less flavor than its traditional sibling.

SERVICE:
Devin took great care of us. He was very friendly and professional. Thank you!

TIP:
Lunch prices on most dishes are cheaper than dinner.

Be careful as their white cloth napkins left tons of lint on our dark clothing.

OVERALL:
Perhaps we chose the wrong dishes?

I love the Suburban Square location and have been meaning to try Not Your Average Joe’s for a minute. I met a friend for dinner last week and we really njoyed our waitress Mya, our food and cocktails.

There’s a lot of space and a large projector TV, which would be great to watch games on.

We were served a tempting looking basket of bread with a dipping oil when we arrived but neither of us touched it.

Tip: Servers should ask if customers want bread to cut down on waste.

What We Ate:

Cheesesteak Egg Rolls (5/5)

Fire Cracker Shrimp (5/5)
(my friend first ordered the coconut shrimp but they were out of them)

Sweet & Sour Chicken Bowl: grilled chicken, red & green peppers, onions, steamed broccoli, pineapple sweet & sour sauce, jasmine rice. (5/5)

Chef Bryan’s Jambalaya: chicken, shrimp, andouille sausage, veggies simmered in a Cajun broth with seasoned rice. Packed with flavor is an understatement! (5/5)

What We Sipped On:

Lemon Drop Martini (5/5)

Pineapple Painkiller: House infused pineapple rum, cream of coconut, OJ, fresh pineapple and nutmeg. (5/5)

☕ Espresso Martini (5/5)
(I first ordered the Skull Drink: crystal head vodka, blood orange, lime, spiced simple syrup, black salt and red wine float but they were out of the blood orange, so the good ole Espresso Martini it was)

I took a star off because we had to ask multiple times for our table to be cleared of dirty dishes and they were out of a couple of our first choices. Overall it was a good experience and I’ll definitely return.

Njoy Life Tastefully… Cheers!

The food and cocktails definitely is unique and executed good, just like their name suggests.

I never got my side salad though. Between our waitress and the cooks, no one noticed the missing food.

I recently had lunch at Not Your Average Joe’s in Ardmore, PA. The experience was pleasant but not particularly memorable.

I started with a strawberry-rhubarb sangria, which was flavorful but tasted more like punch than sangria, with hardly any wine detectable. Before my main course arrived, I was served complimentary bread with a side of herbed, cheesy oil, which was a nice touch. For my meal, I ordered the Mediterranean pizza, featuring a pesto sauce topped with cheese and veggies. The pizza was okay but not above average.

Overall, it was a decent meal and I enjoyed sitting outside on the second level, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.
