I can’t get over not only the food but also the price point for the portions
Forget Mambos or Golden Seafood, blows them out of the water
I’ve tried a variety of things and the dishes are staples of what one would expect from the other restaurants mentioned
Now there are only two things that I didn’t care for one was time , they are making it fresh and they do get busy so maybe it’s just my impatients and 2 the gumbo , I’ve tried twice but both times it’s been just too dark for my liking the rue is overcooked or maybe the spices but , I’d skip
Other than that sit down enjoy and be pleasantly surprised with the bill

I have patronized this restaurant for years.
But, who ever is cooking the WINGS needs to get out of the kitchen. They are over cooked, dry, hard & crunchy to the point that you cannot eat them. If this is the best on cooking WINGS then perhaps leave it off the menu…..

As soon as you step in, you can tell you didn’t make a mistake coming here. You can smell the different aromas. It is so good, this is a last meal ,kind of good. The hushpuppies are the best ,I have ever had. This crawfish fried rice was so good ,I ate half before I took a picture. Even the potatoes and sausage are slathered in drippings. This is the food, you wish your mother made and you would never leave the house. I highly recommend you eat here.

I been going to Capitan for years and they have good food for a good price. However we got the shrimp and broccoli and found 2 worms in the broccoli. They don’t wash their broccoli very well. Ended up throwing all of the vegetables out.

The food is good. It may take a little long to get the food, but very well worth the wait. The food was cooked fresh and tasted great. I will bring a coworker next time see what they think.

This little Spot is one of Houstons lil hidden secrets . The prices will meet any buget and in today’s economy that is a plus. It is obvious that the Food is prepared with heartfelt Hands and Integrity, very Tasty . The front Counter is always pleasant and patient as you order. This lil Gem may not win in the Seafood race with the Big Guys “BUT” it will not Loose with the Stuff it Use .

Ordered the boiled shrimp spicy. The flavor was good but a little different than other butter sauces. Thicker kind of hard to explain. The garlic bread could have used more garlic. Large portion. I also had the fried shrimp and crawfish. It was good.

The food was wonderful and the prices can’t be beat. I loved the staff as well. I had the Boiled Spicy shrimp with corn, sausage, egg and stuffed Jalapeños. My Girl had the fried 30 piece shrimp and fries and we split a shrimp fried rice. 5 stars. This is also my Grandpa’s favorite spot. We also had crab legs a week earlier. Delicious!
