We love On The Rocks! We have come year after year and had great experiences. We love the shrimp and grits, the soft pretzel appetizer, and the fried shrimp or flounder platter. Servers are always friendly.

We are local residents, living in Pine Knoll Shores about 4 miles away from On The Rocks. We really love coming to the restaurant! The food quality is exceptional and consistent. The atmosphere is lively and positive, without being crowded or noisy. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We truly hope that the restaurant will consider expanding their hours to include lunch service at some point in the future, even for a few days per week. We highly recommend On The Rocks to any visitors to the island!

The waitress was a little weird in terms of how she was talking and abruptly just walked away when I was about to order.

Really fun beachy restaurant, the bang bang shrimp tacos are a stand out. They have a full bar and live music. We tried the crab dip as well and were pleasantly surprised with how much crab was in the dip. Our server was friendly and made sure to check on us even with a full house. Would recommend.

This is a cute restaurant. Staff were very friendly. Our waitress was funny and kept our drinks full. I gave 3 stars for the food because there were several of my shrimp that were not deveined. The Brussel sprouts in my opinion were not very good. They were described as Sauteed Brussel Sprouts With Bacon. As you can see mine do not look like the same as what is on their website and there was not one piece of bacon. It was on the busy side. My husband and son said their food was good. They got the PoBoy sandwiches. I will go back and give them another try because the service was friendly and the majority of the food was good. The parking is semi difficult so I would get there a little early.

First time dining here. It was amazing. We had the filet with green beans and loaded baked potato, the ribeye, crab legs, clam chowder and salad. Everything was so good. Brittany was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely our new favorite restaurant!

First time visiting the area and came for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Enjoyed drinks at bar while wait for table. Wait was about 25 minutes. Service was excellent. Live music was good and food was delicious. Dessert was served with candle. We had Island shrimp tacos, Bang Bang shrimp tacos and Burger with tarot tots. Also had Bang Bang shrimp appetizer.Thank you for a great experience!

We never miss a chance to eat here if we are at the beach. The shrimp and grits are some of the best I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the fried flounder, and it was cooked to perfection. We had excellent service from Lisa, and her laughter was infectious. We left full, happy, and smiling.

Got there about 515 and put our name on the list for 7 people and was told about a 20 minute wait. After about 40 minutes and noticing couples of 2 or 3 leaving i ask again. I was then told another 45 minutes. We waited about about 40 more to be told that they couldn’t serve us and was only taking couples of 2 and 4. The managed needs to manage better. Wasting almost a hour and a half and be denied service because of poor management should be a embarrassment. If you decide to eat here call ahead and there will still be no guarantee your reservation will be honored.
