I’m traveling now, and on the very first day of my journey I walked into this Indian restaurant.
Now it’s my fourth day in a row here!

At first the design feels simple, but inside it’s pure warmth. The staff, the atmosphere, the energy — it all makes you feel at home, not just welcomed.

I’m on a vegetarian diet, and this place is a dream. I tried several dishes, including a beautifully spiced vegetable biryani.
My absolute favorite: garlic naan and butter “chicken” — made especially for me with a delicious vegetarian mix of cheese and vegetables instead. Simply unforgettable.
And the samosas are perfect!

This restaurant has a soul.
Every time I walk in, I feel like I’m coming home ❤️
One of the most delicious Indian restaurants I’ve experienced in Europe.

Absolutely incredible — a true hidden gem in Prague!

Wow. Just wow. Do not be deceived by the humble appearance of this place — the food here truly speaks for itself. This is hands down some of the best South Asian food we’ve ever had, and that’s saying a lot.
Every single dish was prepared fresh on the spot, rich in flavour, beautifully balanced, and incredibly comforting. The portions are generous, the spices are authentic, and nothing feels rushed or pre-made.
We ordered cha (milk tea), samosa, shingara, lamb biryani, and vegetable korma, and honestly — every item was outstanding. The biryani was aromatic and perfectly cooked, the korma was smooth and flavourful, and the snacks were fresh and crisp. You can really taste the care and skill in the cooking.
A special shout-out to the owner, Jobaer, who is unbelievably warm, welcoming, and accommodating. He kindly customised the dishes to our palate and made us feel genuinely at home — hospitality at its finest.
This place is a true hidden gem, and we’ll absolutely be coming back — honestly, probably every day while we’re in Prague
Highly, highly recommended. Can’t stress this enough!

UPDATE (Day 2):
We loved it so much that we came back again the very next day — and somehow it was even better. Tried the tandoori chicken biryani, paneer butter curry, garlic naan, samosas, and chai… absolutely phenomenal once again. Two visits in two days says it all. Already planning to come back again ASAP!

Friendly, warm service from the moment we walked in, the kind of hospitality that makes you relax straight away. The curries are truly excellent, speaking as a Brit who has been spoiled by good curry my whole life, this was some of the best I have had outside the UK. The restaurant is simple and unpretentious from the street, inside it is cosy and clean with a calm, welcoming vibe. Prices are fair, portions are generous.

We had a tikka masala, a butter chicken, a garlic naan and poppadoms, everything was spot on, rich sauces, tender meat, naan fresh and fragrant. They happily packed up our leftovers, tomorrow’s lunch sorted. They do delivery, but I strongly suggest eating in so you can enjoy the lovely staff and the fresh bread straight from the tandoor. Wi-Fi is available, handy if you are roaming.

Tips, ask for your spice level, the kitchen hits mild to hot nicely. Curries are truly cooked to order, so you can customise as needed.

Weekends can get busy, consider booking or arriving a little early. Garlic naan is a must, and save room for leftovers.

Strongly recommend a visit, easily some of the best curry I have had outside the United Kingdom.

My favourite Indian food in Prague! And I’ve tried many. Every-time I regretted trying a new one and thought I should have just eaten at Shahi! The best!! Tandoori biriyani ❤️ (I see some people having a whole chicken leg, but I got breast, not sure if I can specify?)

Little hole in the wall place with 5 tables for 2. Great menu, and everything we tried was excellent – vegetable and meat samosas, saag paneer, chicken jalfrezi, and plain and garlic naan. Highly recommend.
