(Went for a late lunch) It was quite with a tv in the background, not loud to be annoying. Calming. The waitress was sweet and on the ball not over doing it. The atmosphere was like you can have a little date or a few friends hangout lunch. The food and prices were good. $12 plate and came out big and completely covered plate.

We were a large group of 7 on a Saturday morning and found a table right away as we walked in. The service was excellent. The food was good, but my group really liked the flour tortillas, orchata, and lemonade. This is a quiet restaurant with plenty of space for seating. Quick service and we were lucky to have a waitress that was attentive.

We ordeed two plates off the lunch dinner menu, complimentary at the
beginning of the meal was tortilla chips that seem to be homemade and absolutely delicious with a side of salsa and two hot sauces plus beans. Our food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place with lots of parking.

I’ve driven by this place countless times and finally decided to give it a try. I should’ve been coming here the whole time! The chips and ‘salsa’ they give are amazing. I say ‘salsa’ because it’s actually a bean dip, delicious and not spicy at all. The ladies are very quick and attentive and the food was amazing! My only complaints are the lack of true, spicy salsa (I like mine HOT) and the name Jalisco. There’s too many places in SA called Jalisco this, Jalisco that, and many of them have terrible food. It’s the reason why it took me so long to give this place a try. I would rename to something more unique because ‘good food’ is not what comes to mind when I hear ‘Jalisco’.

Must try! Great food and great service! Super tasty and reasonably priced breakfast and lunch options. The location is both cozy and clean with great ambiance. Every dish I’ve ever ordered has been cooked to perfection.

The service was terrible. We were not greeted upon walking in so we took a seat and proceeded to wait about 15 minutes before the cook who was on break let the waitress know we were there. She seemed upset that she had to do her job. We asked for our drinks and while waiting for 2 waters another table of about 3 women came in. She immediately got them chips, salsa, and waters (keep in mind we have been here about 20 minutes at this point and still have not gotten waters. I left because I’m not spending my money when there are thousands of restaurants just like that in San Antonio

We have been to this restaurant about three times because my husband likes their menudo. So this past Sunday, October 5th, we decided to go. What a disappointment.
Starting with the plate where my food was served. The plate had a big chip on the side and you could tell the plate was not thoroughly washed, it was dirty! I wiped the side with a napkin and it was dirty. I am not one to complain or make a big deal. I overlooked that and made myself a half tortilla taco to taste the food so that I wouldn’t pick up food from the plate but what was on top. Second disappointment!
I ordered the machacado plate and the egg was extremely overcooked and dry with no taste at all like machacado. I normally don’t like to post reviews but I believe the management needs to know and keep the cleanliness of their utensils and plates in check. If a plate has a chip, throw it out and don’t let the food get lodged and start to look black and gross. I wish I had taken a picture. Maybe I should have voiced my concern. Regrets! Anyway, I will not be going back. BTW, My husband’s bowl of menudo was ok.
Service and atmosphere were ok.
