Stopped in for lunch – the prices were good and the food was enjoyable! Definitely a local neighborhood spot that has a regular crowd, so it felt very laid back.
I got the Mexican burger and tots, both pretty standard but good. Overall a great spot to grab a quick lunch with a friend!

One morning I stopped in for breakfast, and was served the BEST HASH-BROWNS, I have ever had in my life. They were crispy, perfectly seasoned, neither dry nor greasy. The experience has brought me to experiment at home with the intention to replicate the quality of those thinly sliced fried potatoes but unfortunately my efforts have paled in comparison. I had them with the breakfast sandwich and I’ll never forget that meal. Thank you. I believe it was one of the owners who cooked them— the kindest sweetest old lady fry cook I have ever met.

Great dive bar vibes at the Cardinal. Chicken sandwich was decent, onion rings were excellent and very crispy. Lots of regulars here which is fun. Service was quick and pleasant. Visited during the day but would be a fun spot in the evening!

Great food. Standard barfare done well. Staff is always nice. Service is always quick. Prices are good. You can call it a dive but i just consider it an old school bar. Either way, it’s awesome all around.

I’ve been going to Cardinal nearly every week for many years. Its a great neighborhood spot! The staff are all nice, the prices are good, and the food is tasty. Don’t sleep on their regular fries; they’re battered and some of the best you’ll find in town.

Surprised how good it was! The burgers and the sweet potato fries were very delicious and fresh! Waitress was very friendly and food were served fast. Free parking is right across the street.

I was drawn into the Cardinal because of feel that surrounded the outside of it. A hub of activity with public transportation dropping all sorts of human conditions off from busses and trains but also bicycles, cars and bushes too! A bit dark and dingy inside. More restaurant than bar and only beer for alcohol I had forgotten that these places were still around. A couple of domestic pints rang in at $8.50. It wasn’t crowded but their set really only has 6 or 7 seats at the bar and flows right into restaurant seating with chi a bit off to me. Service was fine with that little bit rough around the edges charm coming raising others kids for most of life. I’ll swing in another time. Maybe take the train and check out their food as they’ve been around awhile so something’s been done right.
