We were in Cary for the night and saw the great reviews for this place, so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, our experience started off rocky with our server, Sam, who was rude from the beginning. He told us the outdoor heaters were broken and not working. However, shortly after we were seated, another group arrived and suddenly the heater was turned on for them.

We were also seated at a dirty table. When we asked if we could get a rag, to hint at the table being dirty, he simply threw us a rag instead of cleaning it himself. His overall service felt dismissive and unprofessional.

When we mentioned that our drink didn’t taste like it had alcohol in it, he told us that since we had already sipped it, we still had to pay for it. There was no apology at any point.

That said, the manager was very kind and handled the situation well. She discounted our food and gave us a shot of vodka to make up for the drink, which we truly appreciated. The patio area is cute and has a great atmosphere. I would recommend the place overall, but I would not recommend having Sam as your server.

Tried this place one last time. This is their Philadelphia Chicken Cheesesteak as it was delivered to my table. Any amateur can make a better one than that effort. Sad because I want to support local but can’t when Arby’s probably would do a better job. The pub wings were ok.

The wings that were advertised were not the wings that I got. I got one flat and the rest were all drums, which I do not mind too much… but they were so stingy with the ranch for so many wings.

Went here to have dinner and watch canes game. It was okay, we were sat in what could be considered the lobby, no physical menus, but QR code (all low key, fine things). Still okay, ordered two burgers, one with fries and other with chips. One was a cheeseburger (cheese only). That burger was swapped with a diablo—so jalapeños, onions and cheese for someone that doesn’t like spicy foods it was pretty shocking to bite into a jalapeño. Fries seemed like they’d been cooked earlier and had that grainy old texture. Waiter was inattentive and more focused on socializing at the bar than getting us a check. She offered us a discount for the burger ($2). Wasn’t what we wanted/hoped for and won’t be back. We were excited for a local spot to watch games, this won’t be it.

Before I give it a review, I did get take out an hour before closing, so not the freshest of fresh. But overall the food here is very subpar. I got 4 different entrees and basically all of them were pretty bland. The Black Bean Burger was alright, nothing to boast about. The Reuben Sandwich, which is particularly small. The Old School Philly sandwich, which the meat was dry and wasn’t flavorful. And The Birria Tacos which without the sauce weren’t too delightful. The sides were ok, Mac & cheese and fries were good. The Cole slaw was not great. My girftiend got the roasted fish tacos which were pretty bland also.

We had a great time here a few months ago. Food and drink were reasonable. Dropped in for lunch today and the hostess was friendly and accommodating. However, once we were seated we watched folks who came in before and after us served, received their drinks and extra. Tried to make eye contact with the server and even waved once. But it was like we were not there. After 15-20, without acknowledging we were even there – we opted to take our business elsewhere. I get restaurants are short staffed, but to not be acknowledged when the restaurant was about 1/2 full, and watching other patrons around you received service when the wait staff won’t even make eye contact is unfortunate.

We were looking for a late night dinner and found this spot! I loved the fried green tomato sandwich and the buffalo shrimp. I tried the tomato rice and was a little disappointed. Service was great, though! Also the apple crisp we had for dessert was really good as well.

We came back with my boyfriend’s dad and I tried the fish and chips this time. They lived up to their fame, although they took a very long time to come out.

Another time, I got the kielbasa and cheese. The cheese was so so but the sausage was delicious!

Their Shepherd’s pie for March is pretty good! Hearty and filling

We recently visited Crosstown Pub and had an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. What really stood out to me was that they brought out water and treats for our puppy, showing just as much concern for him as they did for us. This level of hospitality definitely made our visit extra special.

As for the food, it was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the fried tomato sandwich, which was bursting with flavor. The steak fries were also excellent and cooked to perfection. The menu had a great selection of dishes, and we were impressed with the quality of every meal we tried.

In terms of the atmosphere, Crosstown Pub had lots of seating areas to have a drink and hang out with friends. It was the perfect spot for a Sunday afternoon meal. I ordered a gin tonic which was expertly made and absolutely delicious.

Overall, we had an excellent dining experience at Crosstown Pub. The service was top-notch, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great meal in a friendly environment.

The **Fish and Chips** were a standout for me. The batter was golden and crispy, yet not overly greasy, which is a sign of skilled frying. The fish inside was flaky and flavorful. The portion size was generous, and it came with a side of perfectly cooked, thick-cut chips that were just as satisfying.

Now, let’s talk about the **Apple Crisp**. This dessert was a delightful surprise. The warm, gooey apple filling had a hint of cinnamon that created a comforting aroma. The contrast of textures between the soft, baked apples and the crispy topping was pure bliss. Adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top elevated it to a whole new level.

The **Chicken Gouda Wrap** was a pleasant surprise as well. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, and the addition of Gouda cheese brought a creamy richness to every bite. The wrap itself was fresh and held everything together perfectly. It was a great choice for those looking for a satisfying meal that’s not too heavy.

Lastly, the **Buffalo Shrimp** deserves special mention. The shrimp were plump and succulent, and the buffalo sauce had just the right balance of heat and tanginess. It was a delightful twist on the classic buffalo wing, and I found myself wanting more after the first bite.

The overall experience at Crosstown Pub and Grill was enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was casual and inviting, making it an excellent place for both casual dining and special occasions.

In conclusion, Crosstown Pub and Grill Cary impressed me not only with its diverse menu but also with the quality of its dishes. Whether you’re a seafood lover, a fan of comfort desserts, or looking for unique flavor combinations, this place has something for everyone. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of their offerings.
