The restaurant however, doesn’t accept any offers from Zomato, Careem, Entertainer or the usual card discounts which is a bit of a bummer given their prices.
Overall, it’s a place one could definitely dine at for a good change, but may not turn out to be budget friendly option for a repeat value.
Last night was truly special for me—I attended my first live concert by the legendary Shreya Ghoshal! After the amazing performance, my friends and I were craving some late-night desi food and ended up at Amritsar Restaurant JLT.
Even though it was past midnight, the restaurant was still open and welcoming guests—a pleasant surprise! The ambiance had a lovely Punjabi vibe, and the staff was well-dressed, courteous, and attentive. A special shoutout to Mr. Saurav Singh, who went above and beyond—guiding us through the menu, suggesting dishes, and ensuring we had a great dining experience. He’s truly an asset to this place!
The thali caught our eye immediately—it was massive (easily over 1kg!) and unlike anything I’ve seen before. However, the food itself was a bit hit-or-miss. We ordered:
– Aloo stuffed naan – Decent, but nothing extraordinary.
– Mix mirch kulcha – Stiff and slightly undercooked at the edges.
– Chhole bhature – The bhatura was nicely sized, but the chhole lacked flavor.
– Samosa – The filling could have been more flavorful.
For dessert, we tried the gulab jamun (served cold instead of warm) and ras malai (missing that rich, creamy texture).
While the service and atmosphere were excellent, the food didn’t quite meet expectations this time. I’ll definitely give them another visit to see if the experience improves. Hoping for a better meal next time!
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) – Good service, but food needs improvement.
Pani puri- good
Aloo tiki- very good
Aloo paratha – very good
Chicken Kheema – good
Chicken reshmi kabab- ok ok
Chicken banjara mono- ok
Sweet lassi- good
Elachi chai- very good
Masala thumbs up- good
Parvesh was quick in serving and very accommodating to our request.
The food was tasty and the portions were very generous — definitely great value for money. The Chicken Tikka Masala had really nice flavours, with a rich and well-balanced sauce. However, the chicken pieces themselves didn’t feel as fresh as we expected, which was a bit disappointing.
That said, it was still an enjoyable meal overall, and we’re glad we tried it.
We have been here multiple times… my favorite is Aloo Pyaaz Kulcha… Their red chatni is amazing…
But second time when I came here we ordered chicken tawa and it was not good. Chicken was giving strong after taste and whole experience was very bad.
I love ambience but food was disappointing and extremely slow service.
