Large portions that everyone enjoyed. Lunch close to Fordham University after the tour. If she goes I would definitely visit here again for another hero, and would like to try their pizza

My experience here was horrible from the service to the food. I came here hoping to try something new and different. I waited a very long time for my food while people who had ordered after me got there food faster. An employee asked me if I was being helped I said yes and after a few more minutes asked me what I had ordered. I told him. Apparently the guy who took my order not only forgot about my food but he had put it in the microwave where it was left sitting!
The coworker grab my food and quickly put it in the oven but it could not be salvaged. It was dry and almost too crunchy to even chew I ended up throwing it out and going to another spot. Horrible experience.
PS. I am a woman of color and I was the only person who’s food was handled this way. I hate to bring up race but I can’t help but feel like the bad service was racially motivated when everyone else there who does not look like me else is getting great service. Not the mention it took another Latino (the coworker) intervening for me to get my food and TRY to salvage the microwaved disaster. . My food should’ve been heated in the oven and served promptly just like everyone else.
PsPs The man who took my order kept giving me a strange look (like a blank stare) and did not seem the least bit happy to have me there.I thought nothing of it maybe he’s having a tough day but he seemed *slightly* more friendly towards the other customers that should’ve been my sign to leave

I had 2 slices. 1 cheese and 1 deluxe. The plain cheese was my favorite of the 2. I think I would have liked getting a whole fresh pie a little more than just a slice. It got a little to crunchy to make my best of list. I’d eat it again and did enjoy it, just not a top 10 in the city pizza for me. I do have to give then credit for still serving that big ole NYC slice.

1st time here believe it or not.pizza was good. I ate a few slices there and got some rice balls to go.rice balls were good.by mistake I ordered some potato croquettes and I can say that was the best mistake I ever made. I never had them and they were delicious.I’ll definitely be getting them again—awesome

My go to pizza parlor anytime I visit Arthur Ave. The neopolitan slice is large, thin, and is crispy. No flop from this slice. The sicilian seemed a little thick and heavy but I’m told it was delicious. Garlic knots are large pillows of garlic heaven. The rice ball is filled with meat and served piping hot with a side of gravy. Finally the stuffed bread had great flavor from the ham and pepperoni.

Great taste, pizza with (thin crispy base that cracks) big portions, ample seating (both indoor and outdoor) nice sauce but the price per slice is a bit higher than most neighboring shops.
The chicken Parm pizza was quite good. Solid flavor, tons of chicken and nice mozzarella sauce combo.
I got a grilled chicken calzone and the filling was delicious and the sauce paired well with it. The crust however was a bit harder and less chewy than I would have liked.

Visiting NYC, had to grab some Italian from Lil Italy Arthur Ave before leaving.
Saw how packed they were and the “celebrating 50 years”, figured it had to be good.
I suggest looking at menu beforehand, as you can only see one of the three menu screens, when standing in line. They should be behind the counter.
Ordered a buffalo chicken slice ($7) , which was good but not amazing. Liked that they spread chicken evenly, wasn’t overly saucy, but wish it had more cheese.
Also got a grilled chicken hero (grinder _ $15) with roasted red peppers that was incredible.
Didn’t get to eat it until many hours later, and can still say it’s one of the best subs I’ve ever had. Chicken was cooked perfectly, peppers were tasty, even the bread was 5/5.
Only issues were that I was overcharged (thankfully I was paying attention), that it’s overly crowded (no surprise here), and the awful positioning of the menu screens.
Will definitely return for another hero, next time I’m in the Bx.

My kids loved the cheese pizza !! The slices are huge compared to most pizza spots in the Bronx. The chicken wings were kind of salty not spicy. The garlic bread was good!! I will order again from Ubereats.
